Thanks for the great stream. I love hearing about your experiences with the ZMFs since I am in the market for a Verite, either open or closed (yet to be determined). My question now is what is your opinion of the Focal Stellia and the Topping A90 and D70? I just bought the Stellia and am looking at the Topping amp and DAC. Would love your thoughts. Thanks very much!
I don't have a Stellia, but the Clears, Elex and ZMFs all sounded good on the Lyr 3 and Feliks Audio Echo. Both on the Bifrost 2. Maybe if you're in the Verite level of market, the Euforia is a great amp. The Kenzie and Mogwai from Ampsandsound are also frequently talked about.
Man I really wish ZMF would send you and Resolve a set of each model to compare them all like they did with Zeos. I can only take his reviews with a grain of salt. Right now I would lean towards Auteurs based on Resolve's impressions about it's near perfect tuning.
Even though Zeos doesn't do the most technical reviews, his passion for finding great sound is infectious, not to mention his humor with his crazy analogies.....(think he once compared a headphone fit as two Michelin man mascots being intimate with his head 😁)
@@ericzerull3905 Yeah don't get me wrong, he usually knows what headphones sound good or bad but he doesn't exactly pinpoint all the technicals like these guys do.
Thanks for help guiding me down the ZMF path! i ordered Verite closed in Koa wood and hope to get open Verite or Atrium in Koa if I can’t find them in Camphor Burl wood. Love your Aeolus’, everything about them. I’ve never owned cans over $350 and only ever tested LCD’s and Abyss’ lineup one time at a local shop, so I’m in for a treat and know they will all sound great enough to me as I leaned toward looks, build, and rarity maybe even as much as sound, i’ll never get bored of looking at ZMF’s, and can treat them like family heirlooms even, hand em down to my kids and give/buy them as amazing gifts for loved ones. Happy hobbying and much respect brotherman 🤘🏼
Almost pulled the trigger on the last stabilized Aeolus batch but chicken out last minute. Picked up a Bottlehead Crack and a HD6XX instead for now. Baby steps.... Thank you for your impressions and thoughts.
I really like your "lean forward" vs "lean back" description on headphones. Although I have to say, I can really lean back on my Elegias (with an ifi DAC), too.
Interesting to hear you say you get lost in the music. I always wondered if reviewers would find critical listening detrimental to enjoying the music. Glad that’s not the case.
Hello and thank you for your informative and fun review. You have convinced me to go with these headphones. May I ask a question please. I too would like to get that suede pilot pad that you put between the strap and the top of the headphone. Where would I get that from? Thanks so much. Truly appreciate it.
@@TylersEclectic Wow. Super impressed you responded back. I am subscribing to your channel now. Truly appreciate you taking the time my friend. I didn't see it on their website but I will inquire. Have a terrific night. And thank you. Ordering these headphones tomorrow because of your channel. I will mention your name when I order. One last question if I may. Do I need to request a longer extension on mine to accommodate that or will it already come with one if I order the suede pilot pad? Thank you.
Definitely my favorite headphone out of everything I own. I adore their musicality. It was a very scary blind-purchase, and it took forever to get them (3+ months), but I'm glad I pulled the trigger. I used your original impressions video on the Aeolus as part of my research so big thanks! I'm still on the fence for grabbing an Eikon or Verite for closed ZMF, I know you're a big fan of the Verite but have you had a chance to hear the Eikon? Thanks for the video!
@@TylersEclectic We all are looking for tastes in gear and music, I recently found my holy grail of beautiful treble. One headphone when hit you with new taste is worth so much just because music you know can sound totally different. It's funny how mainstream people do not know how music is suppose to sound
