ZMF Auteur Livestream Impressions 

Man sorry I missed this one! I was outside building a snowman and sweet igloo with the kids! All the while my silk wood auteur got delivered today! Really excited but kinda bummed........I originally bought a used verite closed but didn’t read the fine print and when they arrived I was greeted with the horrible aroma of cigarette smoke :( such a bummer as they were beautiful headphones and sat well on my head. The smoke smell is no joke, but luckily I got my money refunded once I sent them back. Cigarette smoke is horrible though and even left a sticky/slimy residue on the leather and wood cups. So I found a nice barely used auteur atleast :) and from the sound of it would be a good compliment the the Verite closed (seeing as the closed step vocals back and auteur is more vocal forward). My search isn’t over yet!

Oeh, a nice new "livestream". Just got the VC, so wondering how you think these compare :)

Please don’t get offended, but you constantly interrupt your reviewing by acknowledging people who are texting you. I think you have good things to say about the products but this style makes it both aggravating to watch and distracts me from what is important which is your review of the products I’m interested in. Constructive criticism. Have you heard this before?

Do you think these different enough from the VC to justify getting both?

Catching up with all the live streams I missed. This is fun and entertainingg as always. And I want to give a special shout-out to whoever suggested "Parcels - Hideout": Brilliant recommendation, thank you! A band from Down Under that colaborated with Daft Punk and has one of my favourite Coupés on the cover, what could possibly go wrong?

I'd love an impression and comparison video of your Aeolus'

Tyler, thanks so much for doing this. You know I am a ZMF fan just like yourself, and I have always been curious about the Auteur. I feel like I have a better idea of their sound now, and appreciate it brother. By the way, my Aeolus and Atticus are about to have another friend. I have a Verite C on the way, and can’t wait. So I will be rocking 3 ZMF’s too, and just like yourself I plan to own them all someday. The Auteur are next. . .By the way, it’s nice knowing you are listening on some killer gear, so you are hearing the headphones at their full potential. Well done man! Thanks, Wes S.

Loved the stream. You're developing weighty, consistent points in the live impressions between the headphones. Telling you man you're just getting better at these things. Favorite part was going over that song from Chlara. It hits home bringing back good memories when I was just an average reddit member, and you went out of your way to describe how one of my favorite albums on your gear in another league sounded, which was extremely nice of you to do. And I'm happy to have been invited to the other forums you're active in because it's full of cool people appreciating gear in every price range. Amazing review. Stay well.

Ohhhh boy....been debating for a awhile whether to get Auteur or Eikon. Just had to say "screw it!" and got both 😉

Thank you for this! I have the Auteur on my short list as a more cost effective option to the more expensive Verite. While I'm still not sure which way I will eventually go, this video has given me a greater sense of clarity.

What kind of bass slam does the VC have and what's the typical wait time for them?

do you feel vo are as relaxing as auteurs?
