Zod Form Validation Is The Best Vue Form Validator (and React) Out There 

Formkit with the Zod Plugin is next level

Zod is a good library but has few issues: It does not have nice way of comparing fields (passwordConfirmation equal password). refine method waits for the entire schema to be valid, so is kind of useless if you want to show validation errors as user types. Development is really slow. I have created a merge request in April and didn't even get a comment from the author. Big bundle size. Because all methods are implemented as extension methods, they cannot be treeshaked.

I found that zod + formkit is awesome to build out forms quick. 1. with formkit you can basically wrap you custom inputs in my case primevue components 2. then use zod + formkit to build forms out 3. I’m using the same schema for forms on the server side to validate payload when you use nuxt h3 recently release a feature to valide the body of a post request with one line with a zod schema so my backend and Frontend validation is always in sync. I did all of this with vee validate before but had problems wrapping custom components as specially when I tried to use a Pinia store tracking form state … anyway what took me 3 days implementing with vee-validate took me one day to migrate to formkit … and now I can build forms via template syntax or use formkit json schema ….

What do you think about vuelidate library? I like it so much but it has one big problem. It is no longer supported.
