Any idea how to fix Renault zoe clock greyed and can't be fixed

I'm really considering this fantastic little car to buy. My only concern is how much use can I make out from it in London, especially if it comes to commuting. It would be great if I could get close to work (at least close to zone 1), and not to pay more on parking than the insurance and charging combined per month.

Krisztián Kőrösi We have had our 2013 Renault Zoe Dynamique Zen for nearly 2 months and it's fantastic we had to compromise as living in a rented accommodation we have to charge using the genuine Renault 13amp 3 pin occasional charger however we have not once come close to running out of charge. There are lots of good deals about on used 2013/2014/2015 cars that have come off their initial PCP plans if you cannot afford a brand new one. The advantages of electric vehicle driving far outweigh the negatives they include silent driving out in the country so you can listen to the wild life, reduce cost parking and running costs (perfect for a London environment) I guarantee you once you have had a Zoe or any electric vehicle you will never go back to a ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) ever again. Hi Robert, Thanks for the great comment. I'm a great fan of EVs, and want to get one. Nowadays it seems Zoe is the best affordable option in Europe, especially if you look on the used prices. MY only concern is the battery lease, which for me is not an option. (If you lease parts of your car in my opinion you don't own the car.) This is what I'm trying to get some details on, as the new one practically not making too many sense in price (check the used Tesla prices), unless you lease the entire car.

Do any Zoe experts know what is wrong with my Zoe? It won't charge for more than about 2 hours before cutting out. This is a nightmare and leaves me with insufficient charge. Imagine if you could only put a few litres of petrol in each time you go to a petrol pump, or had to visit the petrol station every evening at 11pm to 2am at an unpredicatable time. Interested to hear from anyone who has the same problem.

@@RenaultUKOfficial I still want to hear from anyone else who has this problem. Customer relations won't accept this is a problem for which I am entitled to reject so I am going to have to go legal and I want to hear from anyone else with this problem, especially if you have been able to resolve it. I wouldn't want anyone else to have to spend so much of their time trying to get the problem resolved. Reject as soon as you can in the first 30 days if you encounter this problem. Don't go over 30 days. It is impossible to get anywhere if you do.

@@RenaultUKOfficial This problem is still not resolved. Reject a Renault with a problem as soon as you can. I have had a nightmare with Renault UK not helping resolve what the problem is and just defending the matter to try to prove that the car is not a problem because they can get it to charge all in one go. At home my Zoe stops charging before it is full. I have had 5 chargers installed by Chargemaster, two cables, 4 earth rods but the problem persists. The only thing that has stayed the same is the car.

@@RenaultUKOfficial I am looking for an expert who has diagnostic equipment and can attend my car while it is charging on a point where it cuts out. Renault have refused even though a local dealer recommended this. The customer services manager has closed my case even though the problem is still carrying on. What can I do with my car that won't charge without cutting out on my home charger and has similar problems on charge posts of OVO, now Chargemaster BP, and Charge Your Car. I will be trying other public charge posts to see what other brands it will.not tolerate. Please help, because Renault Customer Services' manager is not helping.

I need to find a Zoe expert. My Zoe has a problem charging. Does anyone know anything about problems with charging that fits this pattern: If I plug in my Zoe after driving, it will fail to charge after about 2 to 3 hours, pause for about 8 hours, then restart charging and charge to full. On the other hand, at the first time if I charge it for about 2 kWh then drive it in and out of the garage, put it back on charge the second charge will continue uninterrupted. It seems that if the car rests before putting it onto charge, then it stands a better chance of charging to full (but I am not completely sure about this working reliably yet). Does anyone have any ideas about what might be going on? Renault UK are only interested in proving that it can charge, but I need to know why it can't. Others have this problem, so it is a known problem with the ZE40, even if Renault UK are trying their best to say that it is not. If you encounter unexpected ends of charge, ensure that any testing is done in exactly the same conditions of charge that you follow and do not allow the diagnosing dealer to leave the car resting when you take it to them to test charging.

App is hopeless and doesn't work at all at the moment. Really poor from Renault. It is so unbelievably rubbish I don't know where to begin. It hasn't been tested or thought through by anyone sensible.
