Me! I'm so excited! I've always loved jungle-oceany type movies as a kid like Tarzan and Atlantis. Avatar gave me that same nostalgic feeling. Looking forward to the sequel :)
You can tell when she talks about Neytiri how passionate she really is for the character and world of Avatar. Got goosebumps when she described her reaction to seeing Neytiri for the first time
I feel like people have forgotten just how much of a technical leap Avatar was. It has become the norm today, but when this came out in 2009, the visuals were jaw-dropping. I remember just sitting in the cinema in absolute awe of what I was seeing, I think I went back to see it 5 or 6 times. Avatar 2 is likely going to be another big leap with the underwater mo-cap. I can’t wait to see it.
The performance capture techniques used in the movie paved the way for many of the great CGI characters we have today in movies. It was absolutely ground breaking. The best being Thanos and Alita from Alita Battle Angel.
I was a literal child when this movie came out. I'll be 18 in avatar 2. I know ALL the words of this movie bc i also had it on CD after watching it in the cinema with my family. I watched it so often.. It's unbelievable. I still have the cd and i will continue watching it. My inner child is probably so happy!
I was 8 at the time this movie came out. My parents did't alow me to watch it because it age restricted for 12. When I was 12, my brother but the whole movie on my little mp3 Player with a screen. Much smaler than a Smartphone nowadays. And I watched the SHIT out of that movie because I liked it so much. It was probably at least 20 times. At times I could speek every szene with the acters because I was familiarised with every line.
I was 2 years old when it came out and i first watched it in 2014, i was blown away, i was constantly asking my mom when will the sequel come out and now it's almost time
Listen to how she said Na'vi at 6:52 . She says she needs more classes, but when reading the language she snapped right back into it XD Perhaps she does need classes, perhaps not, all I know is that it sounded fantastic. I'm soooo excited to hear more in Way of the Water!! (Also, just the fact that she can only shoot a bow like a Na'vi is AWESOME)
Does anyone realize she was in both Endgame AND Avatar which are number one and two top grossing movies of ALL time?!! Coincidentally both roles are of aliens and of different colors. Blows my mind. And it just proves she can take a risk and give a chance to movies that could’ve been potentially be flops, esp. Guardians. But both turned out great
@@noncatholiccatholicrat6309 That'd b amazing, but it would knock Infinity War out of the top 5 bc it's sitting in 5th so she'd still have 3, but regardless, AMAZING !
It’s always crazy looking through comments on yt and on reddit when people talk about this amazing film. There is always one commonality. You always hear people say how this movie has affected them in a way no other movie has. Wether is because it truly transported them onto another world, or it has just completely changed their watching experience. This movie is absolutely AMAZING and has an AMAZING community!!
You mean like the r/Avatar Reddit where they ban dozens and dozens of people having real conversations about the film, yet the low energy memes and tasteless alien sex jokes that represent most of the content consistently pass muster? That amazing community? 🤣
She seems like such a totally lovely person, and gave a truly wonderful and moving performance in Avatar. Her emotionality in this interview is touching and admirable imo, and explains a lot as to how she was able to act so powerfully in the part. Really looking forward to seeing her again in the sequel.
When shes talking about Neytiri being left handed, James said that he made all the Na'vi left handed because of her. Not because he himself is but because Zoe is which is pretty cool
I love her presence, her attitude, her ability to communicate and her outlook. After to listening to this interview, when they do a documentary/dramady of AOC, Zoe will be the absolute best actress and a no brainer selection for the part. Zoe is obviously better spoken and more loved and appreciated but she could handle the portrayal of AOC.
So wonderful! No movie has come close to the affect for me.. and I have seen this movie so many times I’ve lost count! Thank you Zoe you can feel your heart in this interview for this movie and movement!
It's wonderful to see ten years of such a rich, diverse and imaginative universe as Avatar, here's to another ten and many more than that! These next several years are going to be an amazing time for fans!
The fact that she did two blockbusters, Star Trek and Avatar is amazing especially the fact that both films had uncertainty in the box office yet manage to come on top!
Omg love her she’s a great actress I was 9 when the first one ( I was so mesmerized and started my dorky obsession of science fiction) and now I’m seeing the 2nd one in my 20s
Back when AVATAR was released, there were news articles depicting a large number of people feeling depression and suicidal after watching the movie. As someone who felt this depression after seeing the movie for the first time in cinemas, I can tell you that the depression does not stem from the want to be on Pandora, the depression stems from the fact that this Earth IS Pandora. The depression settles in as more realizations begin to occur. Humanity is allowing itself to become a disease to the planet, all for the sake of material gain. In any movie review of James Cameron’s AVATAR, we are mostly told it is praised for it’s CGI and not for it’s story. Which for the most part, lacked originality. Comparisons are made to previous stories. Stories such as Ferngully, Pocahontas, and Dances with Wolves. Yet, what astounds me is that while people compare AVATAR to these films, they do not compare it to the events and situations that these films are focused on. Events and situations that are still ongoing to this day. AVATAR uses symbolism and imagery to portray the atrocities committed by the Corporatocracy. And, how our ignorance not only allows these atrocities to occur - but, also has halted our evolution. AVATAR is not only a social commentary on the Extortion of Natural Resources, Exploitation of Indigenous Peoples, or Aboriginal Genocide. It is a simulation of what life can be.. The film not only shows that the planet we are from is the mother of all life, it shows an alternative form of humanity. The Na'Vi are representative of Neohumanism*, the next stage in our evolutionary path. The humans depicted in the film are clearly shown to be from the Western world. Working for Corporations that seek to maximize profits regardless of social or environmental loss. So, what we have here is a film depicting two possible forms of humanity, the old paradigm vs the new paradigm,
All in saying is that Avatar 2 better be the best movie i have seen in years or the best movie I have ever seen otherwise I'll be so disappointed as i need to wait a whole year and a half 😩. But I know i will definitely not be disappointed as we are relying on the best director anyways!
I was 3 y/o when it came out, yet watched it when I was about 5 and I fell in love, now I'm 16 and I'm so excited for the 2nd and any other upcoming movies for Avatar !!
People don't appreciate the actors of this movie which is very unfair to the actors. I know whole film was cgi but these actors literally acted the whole scenario behind the scenes. I can't wait to see the sequels💙 love Neytiri 😍
OMG love Avatar, I'm super excited, like sooo muchhh !! The sad part is that our planet was Pandora, I know it was that beautiful ! And there are remains of sacred and beautiful places like in the movie. Avatar just give me this sense of connection, life and truth.
Ppl who thinks Avatar is a straight up ripoff sci-fi version of Pocahontas needs to watch this video. Yes the film has elements of that story but what Zoe explains what the deeper meaning of Avatar is hits home
