Just did this journey 3 days back, i.e on 18th April. Actually I am still in Kasmir. Thank you for your detailed videos and blogs. It really helped my overall trip planning. Now coming to my experience, I took a day trip from Srinagar and reached Sonamarg at around 12:30. I bargained for a car at 5k for Zojila/Zero point however they kept us waiting as apparently there were some work going on the road. We started finally at 2:15 PM but just after crossing Baltal the road was closed and we had to wait for good hour and a half before it was opened. The journey was simply incredible. The vista was one of the best I have seen in my life and there was a lot of snow in zero point as well. But please be aware this journey is not for the faint hearted. But I am so glad I took this trip.
If im travelling from sonamarg to zojila pass and then zero point can i return to Sonamarg on the same day? As in how does the timings work for the one way traffic? Also how is september to travel to zojila pass?
Very informative video, I am planning for a trip to Kashmir in last week of April with my parents, is it safe to take them through Zojila till Kargil war memorial? Thanks in advance 😊
Sir... Agar 10 baje dras se traffic chalu ho jata hai toh uske baad hum sonmarg se zojila nahi ja sakte kya... Kya dikkat hai... Police nahi Jane deti ???
Nahi uske baad bhi ja sakte ho par phir traffic badh jata hai dono taraf se .... Pass khulne ke shuru ke kuchh hafto mein policewale nahi jaane dete par baad mein toh phir 10 ke baad bhi ja sakte ho
Hi Vargis Is permit to Umling la open to domestic tourists in 2022-23? I heard that inner line permit system to visit ladakh was scraped. Whether this includes hanle / umling la? Do i still need to vist Leh DC office for permit to umling la/ hanle ?
