The Lab Goa is Mixmag and Breezer’s weekly live event where we showcase the finest DJs at our new home of Felix Beach, Morjim, overlooking the crystal waters where fans are invited to take a dip and watch magnificent sunsets.
For our final edition of The Lab Goa, we’re presenting two dance music giants to end the season on a high. Boxout.FM resident Dreamstates heads behind the decks alongside world-hopping Zokhuma to give us a masterclass in all things house and breakbeat. As the pair go back to back, expect a high-energy performance to close off a summer of beachside partying in Goa.
29-year-old Zokhuma has performed all over the globe after studying music production in the UK. Taking notes from choppy, afro-influenced percussion and experimental productions, Zokhuma’s original sound is a great match for Dreamstates as the pair go toe-to-toe in The Lab Goa. Mumbai’s Dreamstates is speedily becoming more in-demand as he gathers influence from jackin’ house, pumping techno and erratic breaks. Now landing a residency on India’s Bouxout.FM, Dreamstates’ stylings even reach as far back as his earliest skills as a thrash and punk guitarist.
