Training video for how to use the ZOLL AED Plus device. This is assuming the patient is down, you've checked for responsiveness, sent someone to call 911, and at no sign of breathing begin chest compressions.
You want to use the AED as soon as you arrive at the side of the patient. Continue chest compressions until the AED pads are out and ready to go. Start by pressing the On button, and listen to prompts. Device goes through a self-test when you turn it on, then it directs you on what to do. It also features real-time feedback on your compressions, telling you either to speed up or slow down your compressions, as well as feedback on the depth of your compressions. The device also features a metronome that keeps your compression rate on track.
