We return to discuss the controversy over Zomato's vegetarian drivers, and claims that it shows caste discrimination. Plus, meme review and your questions!
Bhaisaab I'm OBC and I don't eat nonveg not even eggs, I don't like the smell of it..I puke because of the smell..this initiative is the best thing that can happen to me, I don't allow my mom to use the same tawa for chapati and for eggs, why it is so hard for people to make our lives better, this initiative i thought would be welcomed but unfortunately it wasn't
I am bhil not even brahmin .my whole family are pure vegetarian coz we are devi bhakts. We never eat food where non veg is served .it's a good move which will profit them coz now veg consumers can also buy stuff from them
@@diadon5674 yea that's the thing we're not considered anywhere..my friends mock me for being vegetarian in a fun way and I don't mind it, they atleast respecty food choices I as do theirs, but I don't understand all this religious fiasco like where is this coming from
@@Pujapn. If ur family is non vegetarian, how can u puke by the flavour of a non veg food ? Because, our flavour sensation, develops at baby stage , and we can tolerate a particular smell/flavour throughout the life afterwards. If u don't like non veg food , that's fine. But smell may not be the cause. Only certain allergy ( that too mostly off marine animal's flesh ) may cause problems to a person who eats non veg when baby. And then have to stop eating that particular non veg due to allergy.

I'm from Rajasthan and OBC, and our family is purely vegetarian. In past when we used to order from online, my sister used to avoid restaurants where both non-veg and veg were served together; this is a very practical and good business move by Zomato. All the caste and Brahmin conversations around it so dumb, people making stuff out of their arse; feels like Amarican and Indian leftists are in a competition to see who can create issues out of more dumb stuff. Baffles my mind that we even need to have a conversation on this topic, we really are just toning our IQs down by having this discourse
First of all bhai OBC dhong hain OBC are just slightly backward or slightly poor caste than general like yadavs, etc and they are kind of top caste hindus only, why people are treating them like Dalits Real low caste are SC and ST Most of Sc's in Gujarat are pure vegetarian and Gujarat's majority rajput are also vegetarian Both order from pure veg restaurant only and even in Gujarat 10% Muslims are vegetarian+eggs they don't eat meat They also go to pure veg restaurant I don't know why people like this makes diet as a caste issue😂

9:37 Really Jains deserve more visibility. Highest literacy, highest tax paying and no dependency on government for money. The actual minority which contributes to the country financially and spiritually. Vegetarianism is the way of life which respects and treats everyone equally.
But you guys are also not so peaceful as you appears to be. Along with Lingayats and Marathas, your people have attacked Chitapawan Brahmins after the assistanation of Gandhi by Nathuram Godse. I have seen a couple of you people blabbering in Quora that Jains donot have Shudras and Dalits to target Hindus but while in reality, caste system exists in your religion and you people don't let Shudras to become Jains.
Yes brother 40% hindus in India which are literally 45 crores are pure vegetarian But I don't agree with jainism concept of not eating ground vegetables as plants don't have consciousness so they don't feel any pain not microorganisms do that's why we are pure vegetarian I can understand the concept of satvik food of no onion and garlic because of tamsic nature hut jain concept is useless why no potatos, carrot?? 😂

If I am Iron Maker for instance, my father, my grandfather was, how are others supposed to recognise my clan. Iron makers right? Now, how is this Caste system? If I choose to pursue medical, and then my clan after me all becomes doctors, my surname would change. Surname was a denotion to where from you belong. It also does make complete sense. And the thing about, Shudras and all, You won't someone who cleans the streets to come and sit on your sofa if doesn't bath and come. So Hindus should eat halal and no one should go vegetarian. This is sick.. I hate that fact that Zomato pulled this plan back for this kind of lame meaningless controversy.
Let the vegetarian drivers carry a saffron/green bag denoting veg/satvik food. Why shouldn't I ask for that being a vegetarian? Anyway, I do not like and do not use Zomato or Swiggy.
@@rounakjain6288idiot!! Saffron is non veg and green is veg mark declared by zomato themselves. He said no need to give different attired just the bags needs to be different .he is trying to respect both sides.
The main problem in that will arise from that is society boomers banning red riders from entering & even puts the consumer’s privacy at risk , a few conservative residences in some parts of India do not allow “cooking meat” , so the only option for them is to order , and if there is a festival , protest or procession going on and a red rider passes , the driver’s safety comes at a risk here , and it’s the same for the opposite as well , for example if there is a green or “bhagwa” rider like you said passes through a Muslim neighbourhood, they might get beaten up as well , so keeping all of them red is better for both driver , product & consumer privacy
In the west eating vegetarian and vegan food is on the rise. Are they also promoting casteism and untouchability? I'm a proud Hindu and I eat meat and fish. However during Shravan, Navaratri, Diwali, Gujarati Hindu New Years, and major Hindu festivals I'm a pure vegetarian who always cooks my food at home.
West Bengal has just 1.4 percent vegetarian population, lowest in India along with Telangana. Pure vegetarian restaurants are hard to find here. People simply love their fish here. Majority of the Brahmin families are non-vegetarians, so vegetarianism has nothing to do with Brahminism. Food habit is mainly influenced by the geography and climate of a place. There being an abundant supply of fish and seafood owing to numerous rivers and the proximity to the sea, it's hard for people here to not include them in their food habit.
Fish is an integral part of Bengalu culture. Wedding gifts (Tottwo) are never complete without a fish. Even during shradh, the deceasrd soul is offered fish.

i feel that there shouldnt be a different dress code but what's the issue with the different cart or bag on which the food is stored also some done librandu have previously mentioned this so-called issue that why their has to pure veg restaurant when majority of indians are non veg, it denotes casteism according to their bakri chaap logic🤦🤦
i wonder what happens if a particular community starts believing that zomata delivery boys who don't belong to their community are mixing pork products in their food ?
I am trying to understand - If choice of veg food is casteism then choice of non-veg food is also casteism ?. So anyone who eats vegetables are casteist as per some enlightened souls... very nice demonstration of wisdom.
I'm a meat eater. My mother is a vegetarian. If she were ever to use Zomato (she doesn't, because being a diabetic she doesn't eat outside food very often), then I'd be happy for her to have the option of opting into a vegetarian delivery service. And it's not because of some notion of 'purity' (she gladly cooks non-vegetarian food for me), but because of the mix-ups that sometimes happen with the restaurants/delivery partners. The vast majority of people don't care about these issues. The vast majority of people will never care about these issues. Twitter tards are the only people who care about this issue.
Then why do vegetarians refuse to rent apartments to meat eaters and why do vegetarians refuse to eat with meat eaters? This discrimination against meat eaters by vegetarians is rampant in Hindu society and nothing justifies it
As a vegitarian , I support it... bro, it's just feel of having some life's part or portion.... it's just something I have grown up with it of not kill anyone... it my feeling and on other hand many of relative have it... and that how I discover we have castism in my family😅😑😑
Guys you should have had put the show on badaun murder case, these topics should be brought to discussions. Zomato theme could be just part of the podcast not entirely based on it.😮
Yes exactly. Ajeet bharti just made the video on that and immediately his next video was of kejriwal arrest. These guys didn't have their priorities right today. Otherwise good podcasts overall
My parents, 79 & 73, pure vegetarian, were traveling in the hinterlands of Gujrat. For lunch, they stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. My dad was not sure about eating there since the owner and workers there were visibly “Bohri Muslims”. The owner came out and spoke with my parents and assured them they were a”Pure Veg & Jain” restaurant, evening offering to walk him into the kitchen to confirm. Per my dad, it was one of the best local Gujrati Jain thali he ate there.
Bohris are not Muslims as per Muslims.. I have seen them doing Pooja with a Aarti thaali.. They are the ones who have not left their culture. They can come in a Pooja and can easily eat Prasad. And I am not telling from a RU-vid video, I stay with few of them.
@@AshishKumar-bo3eb That I am most confused every one type says other types as non muslims for example shia says we are muslims sunnis are kafirs and vice versa sunni says we are muslims shias are kafirs . It is too complicated for me so I never get into that debate at all.
Because Gujarat has one of the highest jain community who don't eat onion, garlic and potato And Gujarat has another community called aa swaminarayan community and they don't eat onion, garlic as they are tamsic in nature but eat all rooted vegetables So yeah Gujarati food has all variety for vaishnav, jain, regular vegetarian dishes with one of the best taste for spicy and sweet varient of all foods And Gujarat has unique food because it is only state along with Rajasthan which has lots of Miller bread like bajri, jowar ki roti alone with very different curries

Hinduism doesn't forbid eating meat as whole. Hinduism forbids eating milching animals like cows and buffaloes. Arthashastra imposes heavy penalty for slaughtering cows. I am a hindu I eat meat from chicken fish and mutton/lamb. I avoid beef.Pure vegetarianism is a jain thing.
I am a Hindu and I eat non-veg but this pure veg thing from Zomato is a welcome step as there are many Jains and staunch vegetarian Hindus and they don't want any non-veg food being served. Also vegetarianism has nothing to with caste as many Brahmins eat non-veg Just see the pure veg thing of Zomato as a business and support it given the sentiments of Jains and vegetarian Hindus
Even in Hindus.... people keep separate utensils even in their houses for those family members who eat meats.some houses in villages don't even cook in kitchen but they cook meat on their terrace

22:01 Kushal you showing a English translation do you care to see original Valmiki Ramayana with original language translation to pure Hindi please go through it you'll know why you get trolled
kushal is wrong about meat eating in ramayan. gita press copy is most authentic. i have the english and hindi version and clearly it says no meat by bhagwan ram. it has nothing t do with jains.
I am from Pune, and an OBC Gurjar. 4 of my next door neighbours are brahmins who eat meat but we dont. Brahminism has got nothing to do with being vegeterian. My whole caste is pure veg, men who want to eat have to go out of homes, in restaurants or farms to eat meat or even eggs in most cases. Rarely does anybody eat it at homes.
I am a non-vegetarian but I adjust for the vegetarians and I take care not to hurt their feelings while eating with them ! Because I eat for taste which can be put aside on occasions 🤷🏼♂️ If we can shamelessly eat halal and biryanis why not worry about fellow Hindus, sikhs , jains and Buddhists ?
My maid is from dalit samaj and she and her family is a staunch vegetarian. So why these demonizing of Brahmans. Vegeterian preference is matter of choice across all the segments of society. Many Brahmans of West Bengal eat Fish, meat. All the Non Veg eating people making it a castism issue please think from ths point of view. Many non vegetarian people eat only chicken, fish & egg what will be your reaction if you see RED MEAT Gravy kept next to Chicken gravy on a buffet table.. the serving spoons are placed next to each other. Will you be comfortable eating that chicken curry. Though you see them kept in different bowls yet your body reacts uneasiness/discomfort. Same case is with the Vegeterian people they too feel the same discomfort with nonveg foods. Few of my family members are Meaterian and few are Vegetarian, so we Meaterians respect our other family members Vegetarian sentiments.
Totally disagree with Kushal that in Ramayana it Is written that Shri Ram used to eat meat. You are just reading translation if you read original Ramayan then this word meat is used for fresh fruits inner material. U can search on internet for this.
This kind of strategy is applied in चाइल्डकेयर्स in foreign countries to protect the rights of a vegetarian kid ।।।and this is very apt as everyone has the right to chose the hygiene practices ।।।and what they want to eat।।।
46:44 Guys, measure (maiyar) and pleasure (plaiyar) pronunciations were pretty common for all Punjab-educated people and it was popular till our last generation. May be because we weren't familiar with "zh" sound. My mother completed her masters degree from Simla in 1988 and this is exacly how they used to pronounce measure, pleasure, treasure. Even my grandmother pronounces these words in the same way. In conclusion, English teachers (pre- partition) taught their students in this manner, which was thrn passed on to their next generation. But as we Indians advanced in education, having far better exposure to academics than Paxtanis, we were able to grasp/learn things with changing times. However, Paxtanis are still stuck in the past, their literacy seems to have declined over the years, and since its mostly the Punjabis who make up the most of their education system, you'd still see them doing the same old things they used to do 75 years back. Just a small cultural anecdote! Tells a lot about the difference between two countries. 😂
That's the correct Queen's English pronunciation, actually. The Pakistanis are pronouncing the words in the correct way. A Doon School educated person would pronounce this way.
@@user-rg7jt4xp9y No, they are not. I referred to old Oxford dictionary to check phonetics of the word but couldn't find any obsolete variations. If you think otherwise, kindly cite the source of your claim.

10:46 thank god u said it. I m from UP and including myself there r tons of family i know who r not upper caste and very strict vegetarian like not even egg vegetarian types
The thing about Ramayan and meat, I read or heard somewhere that it is Shri Ram assuring her mother that even though I am going to live in forest I won't eat meat and live a life of a sage. It has nowhere said that he consumed earlier. E.g. It is same as when a person is going to live in hostel he assures his mother that he won't smoke or drink that doesn't mean he used to smoke and drink earlier. And coming to Hindus eating non-veg yes they did, and it's proof is Maharani Satyavati, wife of Shantanu of Hastinapur. Satyavati was a fisherwomen so yes they did eat fishes.
In my town Zomato delivery boys wear no uniform or have a Box....Since it hardly takes 15 minutes to deliver from one corner to the other hot box is unnecessary.
As a ghoti Bangali.... We eat non veg but in specific days we eat vegetarian food made in separate pots not even onions, garlic and mushroom..... And If the food touched with food made with even onion and garlic we can't eat it........ So I was actually looking forward to the service but shit peoples like them making our practice very herd to perform when we are out side of home....
Some guys don't even do non veg birthday parties to avoid bad karna, so we want veg restaurant to get parties from vegetarians. Vegetarians don't care the cook is a SC, ST till there's no meat cooked in the restaurant. In what way it's untouchability 😂
The right might get triggered coz in the sanskrit versions, no where meat is mentioned. So many sanskrit schorals worked so hard to debunked those theories and here u are spreading them blindly. According to manusmriti meat eating is not allowed. Why? Qki jeebha ke sukh me liye jeev h@tya paap hai but at the same time there's no punishment for those who are eating it, it's ur life it's ur choice.
How vegetarianism is associated with Brahmanism. 😂😂 I mean this is next level of wokeness. I know people across the cast line from my school days who follow vegetarian diet like me.
I saw the map and amazingly, the states with the highest numbers of vegetarians produce the people with the best physiques. It is counter-intuitive. How is that possible?
So, according to the chart @11:22, I'm a micro minority in my state (among the 1.7% vegetarians).. and I'm not a brahmin... my family eats NV. Only I don't eat. So, not sure where did the caste angle came into the context of vegetarianism... Vegetarianism is a personal choice.. based on either ethical/religious reasons/health reasons/even just simply not liking the taste of it (for me). People are just stupid and arrogant to assume everything should revolve around themselves, and anything or anyone having a different opinion from them are wrong and will be branded by some lingo/tag. It's just absurd. The "veganism" is supported by leftists all over the world and in our country the so-called leftists just bash vegetarianism as casteist. Shame on them.
Ye sab nautanki ha..i am from jammu kashmir and here 25% of restaurants and dhabas are named like "muslims dhaba"...every 3rd truck has "islam zindabad" written over it.. In siculars ko bas Brahmins ko target karna ha, ye saale wohi ha jinko lagta ha gravy veg ha aur meat pieces non veg...
Good move by Zomato..even i don't order food becoz of this fear of mix up...have visited pure veg muslim restaurants too..there is no casteism involved even though i am a Brahmin myself..
