Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

They Are Billions is a strategy game in a distant future about building and managing human colonies after a zombie apocalypse destroyed almost all of human kind. Now there are only a few thousand humans left alive that must struggle to survive under the threat of the infection. Billions of infected roam around the world in massive swarms seeking the last living human colonies.
Campaign: The New Empire - Available now!
Lead the campaign under the orders of Quintus Crane, ruler of the New Empire, and reconquer the lands devastated by the infected.
48 missions with more than 60 hours of gameplay.
Build fortified colonies to survive in infected territories
Destroy the swarms of infected with the Imperial Army.
Make your colonies evolve with more than 90 available technologies.
Explore the ancient human fortresses with your Hero.
Discover the story behind the apocalypse... how did the pandemic start?
Survival Mode
In this mode, a random world is generated with its own events, weather, geography, and infected population. You must build a successful colony that must survive for a specific period of time against the swarms of infected. It is a fast and ultra addictive game mode. We plan to release a challenge of the week where all players must play the same random map. The best scores will be published in a leaderboard.
Real Time with Pause
This is a real-time strategy game, but don’t get too nervous. You can pause the action to take the best strategic and tactical decisions.
In Pause Mode, you can place structures to build, give orders to your army, or consult all of the game’s information.
This game is all about strategy, not player performance or the player’s skill to memorize and quickly execute dozens of key commands. Pause the game and take all the time you need!
Build your Colony
Build dwellings and acquire food for the colonists. They will come to live and work for the colony.
Collect resources from the environment using various building structures. Upgrade buildings to make them more efficient.
Expand the energy distribution of the colony by placing Tesla Towers and build mills and power plants to feed the energy to your buildings.
Build walls, gates, towers, and structures to watch the surroundings. Don’t let the infected take over the colony!
Build an Army

@@ChristopherOdd We are very blessed. He has other complications but he is in remission and the trial drug, iwilfin/dfmo, he was on has been approved as a treatment option for other kids with high risk neuroblastoma. He just learned to ride his bike on his own! Finally doing kid things.

1:30 Reminder: Press F4 or the middle mouse button to toggle Flat Mode - it makes it easier to decide where to place buildings for food, wood and power and maybe walls. 9:10 For upgrading all your tents more easily, double-click to select all and then hotkey them (eg. group 4). That will make it easier to continue the upgrades later. Make sure you have enabled Alerts in the Options - Game menu so it's less likely you'll miss game events. 13:50 🙂 Gates are a structural weakness in your defences. A gate is 3 tiles wide and lets a lot more enemy units attack it. You don't need a gate in every wall. Just break a single wall piece to let units through where needed and then fill the gap when an attack is coming. You could also put some wooden stakes outside the gap, in case you forget to close it. 27:45 You only get all back if you cancel it while paused after you have placed it. Once it starts to build, you will get less back.

I highly recommend the monument: Eye of the Beholder. I never got until my 8th campaign or so. I always get it, now. Seeing everything on the map really helps out.

I really enjoyed playing this game. It was challenging enough to keep me invested. Happy to see its still going strong years later. Please make a CO-OP mode or multi player version. Playing this with or against friends would be a huge money 💰 maker.

When building in a tight spot I always found it helpful to use the simplified map view with F5 (or was it F4) that hides all the extra graphical "candy". Also handy to make sure there are no holes in the defenses. Great feature since you cannot rotate the view.

There's a way you can set it up. I think you change the life bar key from alt to a key that is affected by numlock (say, 0) then you hold the key down, when the life bars are on press numlock and when you release they should stay on. I might not have that 100% correct but it's something like that.

This game is great! I love the snipers. I usually just build them. Can't wait to see you get to the late game units. It helps if you plan out a square in the middle of your tents, there are alot of buildings that work with houses. Keep up the good work Mr. Odd!

So happy to see you playing survival mode in this game again! I first discovered your channel back when you were livestreaming this game waaay back when. I hope you'll keep coming back to this. I would much rather watch you play survival mode than the campaign in this game. Also, just a friendly little tip; try to build as few gates as possible when you build walls. They are the weakest part of any defensive layer. You can also build your gates with one piece of it stuck behind terrain. This means the zombies can only hit it from 2 tiles instead of 3. Just helps that little bit more when the horde is pouring in from all directions.

used to be an exploit with the walls if you put them as a zig zag the enemies wouldn't know what to do. Not sure if they fixed that or not.

It's been a long time since I played , but I thought this game had a Total War style research tree. Can't seem to recall , perhaps it's another game I'm thinking about?
