ZOMBIE Strange and Defender DOCTOR STRANGE are the SAME! Multiverse of Madness Variant Origin Theory 

I love this Mister Misery theory so much, however I also think it could be a MCU style take on the villain Nightmare, since not only is he rumored to be in the film, but even the very theme of the movie has Stephen dealing with bad nightmares, which is fascinating considering the Multiversal chaos going on, and well, usually Nightmare does have a very zombie-like appearance, normally being depicted as a being with grey/pale white skin, with sharp teeth, and it would be a interesting idea if a version of Strange were to become this enemy of Strange, so I'd like to think it's either a take on Mister Misery or Nightmare, even the demented Doctor Strange seems to be wearing a torn up outfit after he becomes that monster, which strikes a similar appearance to Nightmare's attire imo

Also the way zombie strange looks at his hands he’s got that “oh shit I’m a zombie now for some reason” look on his face when he sees his fingers. I think you’re right bro

I've read up that mcu strange is stuck in a different universe and astral projects himself into the body of the dead defender strange

Defender strange dies in the start of the film.

I honestly think with them jumping into different dimensions they fall into marvel zombies universe and defender strange gets attacked by zombies and they escape but he ends up infected
