IMO, Pioneer power level is such that you cannot play play a tribal deck without a two mana lord unless you have an axis of attack other than beatdown. Compare this to Goblins. You get a two mana lord and a second axis of card advantage in Ringleader and Snoop Gob and the goblins deck is fringe at best. Zombies are cool, I played a ton of them in standard (long live Liliana's Mastery as one of the greatest tribal cards of all time) but I just don't see the tools for them to be part of the meta without major additions.
