The chicken and beef pot pies look excellent and so does the apple dumpling. When I eat a pot pie I always melt some butter all over the top and put some salt and pepper on it, it always makes it taste even so much better.

zooks homemade pot pies man they look really good lot of meat in those things you can never go wrong and Amish country everything they make is homemade the women do a great job and the men do a great job also with what they do we have a Amish community about an hour from where I live in Guthrie Kentucky they have a dairy farm up there women do all the baking and bakery the men do woodwork make homemade furniture and also women do homemade quilts ended up buying two rocking chairs yesterday Plus a bedroom suit the only payment that they required to make a purchase up there was hard cold cash I have to go back tomorrow and pay them for what I bought but until next video God bless

Great video. My husband and I are about 2 hours away from Lancaster. We go there about 4 times a year but was never in Zooks. Will look it up next time. By the way your house looks absolutely beautiful.

We live near Lancaster and have loved their meat pies for years! Thank you for taking us along.

These pies are the best . We drive 2 hrs to get them.Before covid we had dinners at our church with them. Everyone is always asking for them.

I don't think I could go into that store without buying all of that yummy goodness, and yum to the apple dumplings. I love apple dumplings and I eat mine cold, I think the molasses flavor is too strong when it's heated. I'd have no self control if I was taking home the pot-pie's, I'd probably fill my freezer, LOL. Love Zooks. The sausage pie is delicious and has become my favorite since eating it. Have you ever been to Stoltzfus meats in Intercourse? Love so many of their products, always a stop on my itinerary. Also, please try Bird in Hand bake shop on Gibbons road. The best. So glad I am only 2 1/2 hours from this great place.

We are going to Zooks and the Kitchen Kettle Village on Wed., Aug. 16th, 23... next week and this really helps me know that I need a bigger cooler and lots of $$$ .. I used to make my own Chicken Pot Pie but it's a lot of work and I'm getting too old to do it.. and I want a good one !! can't wait to check out Zook's !!!

My grandmother, God rest her soul, made both baked chicken, beef and ground beef potpies in a large roasting pan for Sunday diner. She did not put carrots or peas in hers. She also made boiled potpies, chicken or beef with the same ingredients, putting in slip dumplings to cook in the broth. All five were to die for.

What a great job tying this video all together. The pot pies looked delicious. I make them but they take time. The desserts, oh my that apple dumpling with ice cream. The prices seemed so reasonable. Was a win win. Got peas and carrots into John 😁😂

I love potpies,and those looked delicious. The apple dumplings bring back great memories. My mom was from West Virginia, and she made apple dumplings with vanilla sauce.I can still smell them.I am from Ohio,and ate a lot of Whoopi pies growing up.Now,I eat healthy so none of that would be on the menu. Tough getting older.lol Great video as usual.

Hello from New Zealand! I’ve only just discovered your channel, and I love following your adventures. I had to google what Whoopie Pies actually are, I’ve never heard of them before but they look amazing.

I understand why it was appropriate on this case to buy the individual pies. But if you want more veggies but the largest pie. I used to buy the smaller pie( not the individual) and always added extra vegetables. Then I switched to the largest and no longer had to add veggies

The Amish are amazing. I always get essenhausen noodles in Indiana

I grew up in Southeastern Pennsylvania and lived here for 62 years and I can honestly tell you that almost nobody anywhere sells whoopie pies. Whoopie pies were invented in the state of Maine and they are popular in Lancaster, but once you get out of Lancaster you really don't see them anywhere, we never ate them as kids and as an adult where i live right now nobody sells whoopie pies. I had one once and I absolutely hated it.

You must try apple dumplings when apples are in season they're much better and ate warm with ice cold milk over it was a family supper growing up

These chicken pies are good. Got them at local Lancaster grocery stores.keep them frozen for a quick meal.

They also carry those pies in the giant grocery stores around here,just so much sodium in these pies,not good if your watching your sodium count,getting older now can’t get away with what I use too

We live about 2 1/2 hours in NJ, so we will have to go and get these. Not a fan of the shoofly pie. But the apple dumbling look good.
