Virtual backgrounds are popular. We've updated our Zoom Resource Center with eight high-definition virtual backgrounds. The backgrounds are static images that are 1920 x 1080. My video covers how to download the virtual backgrounds, how to add the virtual backgrounds to Zoom, and finally, I show each image in a Zoom meeting.

To add a virtual background to Zoom:
1) Start or join a Zoom meeting
2) Click the upward arrow (^) next to Start/Stop Video in the meeting controls
3) Click Choose Virtual Background...
4) Select Backgrounds & Filters if necessary
5) Click the plus sign to add an image
6) Locate the image, select it and click Open
7) Close the setting window

I can offer criticism I make for most interiors backgrounds I am finding. In setting up your 3D model, you must establish an eye point /vanishing point, and how far it is above the floor will give impression of either sitting or standing. Often these images are composed as stand-up eye point because it makes the room look better, but... I want people to feel I am sitting - it's subtle I know but true. In some of your backgrounds the horizon outdoors is not at the eye point/vanishing point. It's easy for me to know where vanishing point is because lines perpendicular to the image plane will all converge at the vanishing point. This is subliminal for most people. The horizon MUST be at the eyepoint/vanishing point or the images don't match. I'm an architect and I learned this. Also, I wish your rooms looked more like a home i.e. smaller and cozy. Maybe with just a glimpse of a tree through a small window. Now that might trick somebody into believing. Thanks

@Chris Menard, hello I like your tutorial. I am struggling with my virtual backgrounds, I have found some nice office ones for free, but one thing that I have not been able to do is what you did by moving side by side, and it dd not feel at all that you were using a background. Any time during my meeting I move people can see that I am using a background because how my face or body sometimes disappears. Can you help me solve this issue? Does buying a premium virtual background help solving the issue?

I do but you do NOT need a green screen in Zoom if your computer processor is powerful enough. Zoom will warn you if you can't do a virtual background.

Macbook 2016 I can't get Advanced Share to give me the partial screen share option (ex: PowerPoint). It only shows me Beta Vs. I have download software a few times but still get Beta and no partial screen share. Asked Zoom and they said someone from Tech would have to help. I get an update from them weekly asking if the problem has been resolved and I click no. Do you have any suggestions? Enjoy your video series.
