NOW knowing season 2, going back is way more fun then the first time....i guess the reveals led to more questions then answers, making it not very enjoyable......but now that we know things...i am enjoying it way more then i did or thought i would
Welp thats wbd on the moment when we thought henry cavill was returning as superman just so marvel reject james gunn can fire him saying that oh we are rebooting the dceu for a younger cast which i find retarded. If james gunn wants to reboot the entire dceu he has to wipe his suicide squad movie and peacemaker movie out, but no its a dick measuring contest. At this point hes the child of the donkeys ana sarnov and walter harmada. Seriously warner bros needs to stop hiring rejected marvel directors. #restorethesnyderverse #firejamesgunn #boycottwbd #canceljamesgunn
A lot of people aren't getting the "Not fast enough for a speed mirage" line. He's definitely fast enough to make a speed mirage, but he can't run back and forth between different Earths to keep the after image going.
It would make sense if he wasn't fast enough for speed mirage. Yes, that would make him slower than thawne, but Barry wasn't fast enough to stop thawne. It was Eddie who sacrificed himself.
Exactly, I don't understand how people can't comprehend that it's very simple. Clearly he's more than fast enough to create a speed mirage, he's just not fast enough to be on both earths at once. If he wanted to create a speed mirage similar to Thawne, he could, but to go back and forth between his earth and theirs while the breach was closing would just be too difficult. Think it through. He was clearly faster than Barry, and Barry learned how to create a speed mirage pretty early on (multiple, actually, though less realistic the more you make). If Barry could make them, Zoom definitely could too.
Noah Jordan no it doesn’t lul cause Barry made a speed mirage early in this season vs Dr light he actually made a lot of them... an Zoom was way faster than Barry at this point so no it makes literally 0 sense.
This scene really shows why Zoom stands out amongst the other villains. With almost every other villain Barry has faced, there's been a method to their madness. Thawne wanted to go home, Savitar and Eva wanted revenge, Bloodwork just wanted to live, DeVoe and Cicada believed they were doing a service to the world, and Godspeed wanted dominance. Zoom also wanted dominance, but mostly he was just in it for the thrill.
Teddy Sears owns this role. That smug expression of his is so intimidating yet charismatic at the same time. My favorite villain followed by Eobard Thawne.
I thought Thawne was more evil. The man enjoys mentioning how he killed his mother and how he would kill Nora, his daughter. The man lives to wreck and torment his life
@@kalvin187douglas Thawne isn't too evil because he only cares about ruining Barry's life. He doesn't really care much about anyone else + Thawne actually cared about a few people (Nora, Cisco).... Zoom as a person is way more evil
@@kalvin187douglas Nah, Zoom is more evil than people make him out to be, which is already pretty damn evil. Not to mention, unlike Thawne, Zoom has desires to kill every other speedster alive in any world, essentially attempting cultural genocide.
The “even not that fast” and laugh genuinely feel like a bro talking to them kind of moment and it’s weird. Like he’s so chill with it and the way he explains it doesn’t even sound villainous. He just seems so calm. It’s weird. Very well done
The Reverse Flash is the greatest Arch Villain for the flash and the flash tram but Zoom/Hunter Zolomon origin story is similar to Barry Allen's is just a lot darker, I would think that Zoom should actually be the reverse flash. Since he is literally the opposite of the flash because of the choice that he made while dealing with tragic moments in his life. Hunter consistently points out that him and Barry aren't that different they had the similar childhood the only difference is Barry's dad went to jail for being wrongfully accused of killing Barry's mother but he gets adopted by the best foster family in history, while Hunter Zolomon insane father forced his son to watch his mother get killed right in front of his eyes and his foster family probably didn't know how to deal with Hunter. Eobard Thawne is a super villain genius but Zoom is the Normon Bates.
@@IronManEdits If Hunter Zolom or Dr. Zooom is The Reverse Flash, in the Comic books, then is there a another speedster name zoom, like how there different evil speedsters.
Why can't villains be just polite like, hey Flash, I am also a speedster & I am dying, could you please give me some of your speed ? That would just save everyone the headache.
I like how for both Arrow and The flash their season 2s were on point the villains were so good they even took someone both Oliver and Barry loved away
The fact that zoom got beat by Barry and Barry gave him all his speed he had before he came back from the speed force proves just how much the speed force really loves barry
@@JakeMckay1738Fr, most shows try to go all out with series finales, this one went all out with completely disrespecting all fan favourite characters. Like literally, if a hater of the show were to make the series finale, it would come out like that.
Joe: Why the charade, running around dressed like The Flash? Zoom: Too give people hope detective. Joe: Hope? Zoom: So I can rip it away from them. If I was told to show one scene that made Zoom the most badass villain ever, THIS IS IT.
Wait, what's not to believe? You caught another speedster from another earth, tried to steal his speed, and stole his identity. Seems pretty straight forward to me.
I think it has to do with the fact that that speedster looks like Barry's father Henry Allen. Not sure why Jay Garrick looking like Henry Allen would be "hard to belive" But that's what he meant i think.
Precisely. Also,it`s useful to keep in mind Hunter`s a sociopath so his definition of what is or isn`t "believable" likely varies wildly from the definition most of us would use.
Season two of the Flash, in my opinion, easily is the best-made season. The lighting, the cinematography, the writing, and the acting all worked together to create a terrifying, suspenseful, and fun season! Easily my favorite
Am I the only one who finds it strange that Thawne has never mentioned anything about Zoom. He mentioned Savitar, Cicada, and Devoe. But Zoom of all people. Not a single mention.
@- SageAegis - regardless, Thawne should have mentioned Zoom by now. I was under the impression that Thawne is afraid of Zoom, especially given what he already was before he became a vicious speedster that comes off a lot scarier than a man in a yellow costume.
Love this part of the scene highlights how menacing zoom really is Joe: why the charade running around dressed like the flash Zoom: to give people hope😨 Joe: hope 😭😵 Zoom :so i can rip away from😂😂 them
Both of the suits had a lighting bolt on it and we know that Cisco is the one that put the bolt on to Barry's suit so then who put the bolt onto zooms suit I would imagine that it could of be reverb since he was Cisco doppelganger and he was smart like Cisco but it could also of been someone else what do you guys think about that. XX
is it just me or does zoloman look 20 times more attractive when he has his bad guy face on, something about the sinister looks he does in this episode makes him look so much better lol
Joe: so why have you been pretending to be a hero all of this time? Hunter: To give people hope Joe: I am confusion Hunter: so I can rip it away from them
Rolyn Georges yes, fans like us believe so. But a logical explanation would be to kill Wally because Wally kills Hunter and ends it when things go to far.
lmao.. people calling that scene demonic laugh and scary....I cant stop laughing. How funny that looks...LOL even seems he was laughing but hold it in..
Okay, two things to point out about the earlier seasons of The Flash: (1) the villains were so well written. Thawne was enigmatic, manipulative, and beyond evil. Hunter was pure sadistic evil with an absolutely wonderful diverse sense of charisma and charm that even when he’s evil and does this stuff, you can’t help but love him at the same time you hate him. And Savitar was such an effective way of showing how Barry can get corrupted by the one thing he fights for, which is love. And if we’re being honest, this show could’ve ended on season 4 or 5 when it was at the height of Crisis and it was actually interesting, and Crisis could’ve been when we see Barry travel back in time to let Thawne kill his mother, and the rest of it. None of the rest of this stuff needed to happen. Also, I’m going to just point this out, the classic suits from seasons 1-3 were awesome. I love the biker feel to the suits and they didn’t feel fake. They felt authentic to the world that CW created. And the fact that each Speedster had a suit that was similar in a way to the original design was perfect. I mean, let’s be honest, how epic would it have been to see Godspeed in a suit that looked like a cross between this version of Zoom and Reverse Flash? I actually think I might’ve been genuinely terrified.
Agreed. People say they like the newer suit because it's more comic accurate, but it doesn't look as realistic and I honestly never liked that new suit besides the cowl that goes away on its own.
What's sad is that there is enough content to make this a good ten season show including Letscher's Thawne origin/battles against Barry, maybe a new Captain Cold wannabe shows up and you can do a rogues type arc, a good Godspeed arc, there was a theory that Joe and Cecile's grandkid becomes Daniel West (who is a negative speedster in the comics), Eddie as a whole season arc, red death in which bloodwork and thawne ally and combine this theory was better than what we got. Maybe shorten the seasons to 13 episodes post Season 4, but there is so much material to work with it's almost agonizing to think about the wasted potential, especially Season 7's dumpster plot.
I don't understand why they gave Barry's speed to Zoom. They knew full well what Zoom could do with Barry's speed if he had it and how Barry would be powerless to stop him afterwards. Plus, he just returned Wally so he has no more leverage to force Barry to give him his speed. Clearly none of them bothered to plan what they'll do after Barry loses his speed
Why didnt cisco just vibe blast zoom? I mean after seeing reverb, i think cisco knows how powerful he is, and the fact he doesnt even try to vibe blast him is a plot hole tbh
0:00-2:19 That whole scene is probably why I like Zoom as a villain so much. The way he pulls up and chair and talks to them, it's such a subtle thing that says so much. He's so *casual*, like he's just chatting with friends (also love how he mocked them with 'old pal Jay'). He takes off his gloves and mask; something that could be seen as letting his guard down but it's because he knows he's won and doesn't consider any of them a threat. Barry can't beat him and if he tried-- whelp Zoom would/could've run around the room and snapped everyone's necks. And ofc the 'hope' and 'hero' lines-- man
And a couple of minutes after his seeming victory of stealing Barry's speed and getting faster he's chasing Barry and Nora from 3 years in the future, and not able to catch them. He probably knew in that instant; he was going to lose. It was inevitable.
@@patrickgensch1695 At this point, you're making shit up. You would have to make a time remnant to be able to destroy a time remnant. They didn't do that; they ran into the Zoom that was there. He remembered, he knew he was going to lose, he just didn't know how. Just like season 1 Thawne ran into 2 future versions of Barry and remembered the encounters.
JACOB R. He would of escaped. Earlier in this episode, Zoom got away, even though he had the handcuffs that they use to dampen the powers of metahumans on him.
+elijah whittaker jr it wouldn't matter. the pipeline doesn't dampen powers, it just contains them. Zoom can't phase out and isn't fast enough to build enough force to break out. Once Zoom gave Wally back, there was literally *no* reason to hold up to their end of the bargain. Why the hell give Zoom Barry's speed and just hope he's going to be merciful? This whole thing would have made way more sense if Zoom just hadn't handed over Wally yet. Most of the scenes would have also played out the same because Wally's barely in any of them.
WafflingMean44 They went through with it because Barry just barely caught Zoom and he still escaped to get Wally. In those close quarters, he could have at least killed half of them before Barry subdued him again.
One aspect I love about this specific portrayal of Zoom, is that it makes him so much more terrifying in regards to what horrible crimes he committed He's killed, mutilated and tortured so many people...yet he's so charming and nonchalant
I found it funny when the bad guy in this video had pretended to be a good guy wearing a black leather biker jacket just to infiltrate this team of do gooders that have morals and values and no killing bad guys drilled into their heads. The bad guys don't share that same mentality, do gooders.
3:57 I atleast enjoy that unlike every other villain, when what he wanted was ready, he didn’t just go on an evil rant allowing the good guys to get it back.
But when Wells took Barry's speed the first time, Caitlyn(however her name is spelled) said, "If he had continued, this could have caused permanent chromosomal damage." How are they not sure that the permanent chromosomal damage won't happen this time?
Believe me, getting my time remnants to agree to me murdering me, took a bit of convincing but once he saw the..... Well a genius in my plan, he was all for it *chuckles*
