I visited zoom flume once a few years back and was left wanting more. The park was extremely crowded (summer weekend), and most of the slides were pretty tame. Also when I rode zoom flume, I lost control of the matt and slid down the whole way with my bare skin against the slide. That was fun...
We have been to Zoom Flume many times and have always had the best experience. I have two 6 year old children, and they absolutely love it. The food is actually pretty good, and we also pack snacks and drinks to bring with us. The staff are awesome and the park is beautiful. We've been to other water parks, and they don't compare. We're going tomorrow and cannot wait. It will be our first trip of 2023 and we're excited about the new slide. Thanks for the thorough review. You did a great job.
When my son was younger I took him every other weekend during my time with him. (2017 thru 2019) He absolutely loved it! I’ll be taking my step daughter there in a few short weeks. As an adult I agree with your review. This is most definitely a family friendly park and if you are looking for thrills I’d advise you to look elsewhere. If you have a young family I highly recommend it!
I work at this park and I had no idea about this video lol!! We always love to have fun with our guest and on slow days we love to mess around between lifeguards. You’ll often see us playing rock paper scissors. We try our hardest to make sure people have an amazing time.
@@nataliemiller8256 I used to work here like 20 years ago when I was in high school and I am kinda surprised this place is still in business haha. I thought they took out Canyon Plunge. My friend and I used to launch ourselves headfirst down that deathtrap on our lunch breaks and that was not my smartest moment. Best times there were when we closed and they let us ride whatever we wanted and we did some sketchyyyy stuff 😬
@@BarracudeJohnsonn canyon is closed and going to be taken down lol. And when we close we aren’t allowed to do that anymore but we are allowed to ride the rides to the bottom of the one we were using to get down faster.
@@nataliemiller8256 it’s probably better off they closed it down. I worked at the bottom a bunch and people would constantly roll ankles and just basically pinball their heads between the sides when they were coming down so, ya know, yeah haha. And I guess 20 years ago things were more lax than today. They would let us literally walk up rides from the bottom to get there faster on certain ones. I kinda want to come visit again to see how it is now
concrete water slides are notoriously hard to heat because they absorb a lot of heat if you add any, and unless you add radiant heat into them when they are built typically they cant have heating elements added in, so it makes since that the concrete slides would have ground water temps.
i went here during June. it was fun, and the lines weren’t too bad. we ended up renting one of the cabanas and there are nice, 7/10. food was also good
Went here in July 2021 and it was kind of a dud. Six Flags NE has a better water park in my opinion. Tubular slides are my favorite type of water slide. While at SFNE earlier this summer I rode a pair of Red, Yellow, Green and blue colored body slides. I thought I would see Green, Yellow or Blue colored tubing going down. Nope...It was pitch black in there the whole way down. One of those slides even had a double down. What a thrill for me.
as someone who literally lives right up the road from there, I can say lines dont get too bad since its not THAT popular. Also I can recommend it if you wanna just chill even on a busy day
100 percent agree I’ve always lived in Norton hill so me and my family always go on days that are rainy and late afternoons because it’s not super busy then.
@@CanobieCoaster I can't slide anymore, I would end up paralyzed, I miss the days we went with our children, they are adults now , and starting their own memories, time flies by so fast, and the zoom flume was one of my favorite waterparks!
Probably a silly question, which of the raft rids would you say is better - Wild River at Zoom Floom, or the Colorado River Ride at Action P- erm, Mountain Creek? 😂
@@CanobieCoaster I've not gone to Zoom Flume mtself, so I really don't have a proper comparison in terms of experiencing the ride in person, but man the ride at ZF **looks** SO tame compared to the Colorado River Ride.. I wish tMountain Creek'd re-open the alternate paths that the ride used to have open, and sit unused to this day. 😫 It'd add so much variety to the ride experience!
Count your blessing canyon plunge was closed. When I was a kid that was the place to be but I saw a friend of mine get gouged by a loose panel on the canyon plunge. Pretty sure someone’s died from it
@@CanobieCoaster it’s ok he’s good just traumatized from it! Lol but if you loved the views there you should go to hunter mountain in October for Octoberfest.
I’ve always lived in Greenville NY my entire life and I live about 10 minutes away from Zoom Flume and have gone there my entire life… today was the last day of the season. Till next year🫶
As cool as the setting is, I don't see myself visiting this park. Because I weigh a lot, I don't think I'd be able to get on Typhoon Twister, and since I typically visit parks by myself, I would not have anyone to ride with on the slides that you have to ride in pairs.
The only thing you need to apologize for is the unnecessary apology. When a pun is good (like this one or the ones heard on the Jungle Cruise) it's automatically forgivable.
