Could you turn up the HiDMP on the delays and the tone down on the HD Reverb to remove some of those slightly harsh highs you get with the Zoom? Nice work overall.
TBH the Strymon unit is bloody everywhere and a little tedious and overused. I would love to hear some old Lexicon sounds on this unit. That might spark my interest. All the best from Oz.
Very nice. I'm always glad to see these ms pedals used creatively. I used my ms50 for years with a 2notes cab m for full ampless sound, and it always impressed when ppl saw my setup. Lol. Btw try running the mangled space, into shim verb with a delay, may get you even closer to the strymon 😉
Will try that soonest :) lovin this cheap pedal too.. anyway for ampless sound have you tried the Strymon iridium? Loving it with York audio IRs.. sounds great
@@ambientnightsph Thank you for the response. I haven't tried the iridium, was looking into it a while back, and it was a finalist for me to try, along with the ua ruby. But, ended up pulling the trigger on fracal audio. I'm sure it sounds awesome, though! It's a wonderful time to be a guitarist with so many options 🙂
This chain is fine... Inspired by you I feel free to put an Ensemble effect at the end of the chain, and I think the effect is closer to cloudburst in mesopiano mode...Thanks for share!
My sound only with this setup doesnt has the same bright, are you using only rhe multistomp? What is your full setup when you plug the zoom multistomp?
Hi there.. I'm not using an amp here, studio monitors only.. so I turned on my behringer pre amp pedal in clean mode, I guess that's where the bright tone comes from
Night and day. That cloudburst sounds great, it’s big, smooth and clean. The Zoom sounds nowhere near as good. You can hear it trying but it modulates too much and sounds less open and with less resolution. Thats why you pay the Strymon big bucks. I could say you could disguise the cheaper Zoom in a mix but with a reverb that size, there’s not gonna be much ‘mix’ to hide in.
@@ambientnightsph as I said, that’s why you pay the Strymon big bucks… but yes, the Zoom is amazing value for money… I already own the Big Sky, but I’m also buying a Zoom because it’s an outstanding workhorse
I found there is a minor tone loss, which I compensated by using the EQ and running a bit of a high end boost. I A/B'd with and without and I couldn't hear any difference or added noise. But it's pretty minor.
