Songbird's Call, who else heard Snow White doing the Immigrant Song from Shrek the Third? EDIT: Also, there's a lot of swarms with the animal trait, and swarms are a pain. Using Summon Animal to summon a swarm can be nasty.

I would like to point out that Pack Performance is actually a MUCH better version of those "make a flat roll to not get canceled" feats. I mean, one thing is "make a flat check with a ridiculously high DC to save your own spell", and another is "let your pet tyrannosaurus remove the interrupting foe's limbs, and if he does you're cool.", particularly given that it also means that you're giving said pet a free turn of actions. Yes, dinosaurs are animals, not beasts, even if they're summoned by a different spell.

19:40 remember, a critical reactive strike disrupts a cast, so this is actually generally protection against skilled martial enemies, which I feel are fairly common, especially as the levels increase.

every bard will want pack performance when they are fighting a group of lesser deaths, with their bullshit, teleport across that map an reactive strike you and disrupt your action on a hit, no crit needed. and they are only level 16 so by the time you pick up this feat you could be fighting a ton of them at once...

I feel like you could make a better animal themed bard by just dipping into the druid or beast master archetypes.

You could use extra archetype and combine Beastmaster with Zoophonic bard for the full Disney Princess package. Just don't forget the Noble background ^-^

I know its a joke to say this is the Disney princess class, but not all of them were animal themed, and it would limit the scope of possibilities like making a Pan themed PC

The combo with Chorus Companion you make your Songbird´s Call emanate from your companion and make the square of your companion are not affected and the spell say "A creature other than you that enter or ends its turns in the area" that mean the caster is not affected so you and your companion are conceal from the spell and do not take the damage

On ears of the forest: Having a willing bat in a cave is another use, stray dogs giving you smell in a city etc. It's not that hard to find creative uses of this feat.

This one is very disapointing, the fact that Maestro can have a better action economy with an animal companion by just using Lingering Compositon is sad, just reinforces Maestro's dominance over all other subclasses.

Yeah, it still baffles me they didn't bother to fix this in the remaster - the other Bard muses are just soooo bad. Like, why would someone building for intelligence to use recall knowledge on the side want extra starting skills? They already get at least 8 - that's way too many as is??? What kind of charisma caster focused on social skills wants a feat that lets them sub Performance for only SOME but not all skill checks related to the thing they're specialising in. I'm sure they'll be perfectly happy making an impression with NPCs but then not actually being able to use it to request anything useful, or being a Will targeting Occult caster who can't land Bon Mot... You can impersonate good, but you still need deception to lie anyway, because you have up on an actually good muse to pursue being the party face... What was Paizo thinking??? They should all get a unique focus spell that's actually useful in a fight at a minimum. And also not make these weird classes themed around useless spells, that are so bad they literally just allow Sorcerers to cast it free at max level for a single feat, and then not actually make said spell any better (imagine spending a slot, 3 actions and a sustain action, just to cast Demoralise on like 2 enemies at once - the least they could do it let you use your pet's actions to use that ability...). Or make you multiclass into beastmaster... Forcing you to take the much better archetype feats which are all available at the same level as the Zoophonic ones...

I feel kinda bad about it but I absolutely don't like the Pathfinder 2e bard and this new muse doesn't help. Which makes me kinda sad. I prefer Pathfinder by far over DnD or similar systems (though most of them have their own charm) and I like most classes though I sometimes lament some changes from 1e to 2e (oracle for example). But The bards just don't feel right to me. I built one in DnD 5e and had hoped to make a new one in pathfinder but whenever I try I grow frustrated and every option seems lackluster. Maybe someone has some fun ideas? Inspiration?

@@Gone2Dream It's actually hard to put my finger on it. Objectively speaking they are not worse than other classes, I know that. It's just that I don't really have a good feel for them and am absolutely unsure where to take them. Also, I have to admit, I have a dislike for the occult spell list. There are some great spells in there but so far I only built one character where I enjoyed this spell list and that character is rather dark which is not what I wanted for a bard.
