What happened was Eliot talked about how he first discovered what true love really is. He first saw it between his father and mother then he experienced it himself when he first met Chloe. After that he wanted other couples to discover true love in the same way he did so he then started to pay attention other couples around him but sadly none had the same passion of true love that he has with his beloved chloe until he Nick and Judy they were not a couple yet but Eliot became determined to make them a couple no matter what. He then started thinking of ways to do that one idea was both crazy and well... Not the best way to go which was to lock them both in a room and let the magic happen. Chloe rejected the idea outright for good reason. So in the end Eliot decided to get Nick to break down his restraint/self control. By planting seeds of jealousy and activating his territorial side in the hopes of getting him to open his heart to Judy and have them express their feelings for each other and thus become a couple.
