3:12 I think a cool idea would be to create something like rise of the resistance where you get in to a preshow vehicle(The monorail thing in Zootopia) and while you’re there you find Judy hops and nick who just got a call that there has been a jailbreak or a car chase and that your now in the middle of. It would use a test track/radiator springs vehicle instead of an Indiana Jones one So you would get a faster experience.
Congratulations Josh! You've won the DSNY Newscast Pin for this video! Message me your address details on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and I'll send the Pin out soon! - Jack
Michael Wallace Maybe in the far future, we could ACTUALLY talk to Nick and Judy just like Peter Pan, Wendy, Moana, Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel, Belle, Gaston and other humans. Because scientist are planning to have Animals talk by 2050!
Princezz Puffypants There have been no announcements to replace anything in Animal kingdom. And with the state of everything that’s going on, there won’t be any changes for a very, very, long time.
3:10 I think that the new Zootopia land will be amazing! I think that it would be cool if they used the Test Track/ Radiator Springs Racers ride system, as I think that would fit the ride best.
I had the idea for the Zootopia ride ever since I heard the announcement a few years ago. I personally love everything about the idea of the land itself. Zootopia has been one of my favorites since 2016, and I'm so happy that at least one of the parks in the world making a land based off the movie. I couldn't be more proud.
I'm impressed but still jealous. I still think that an Epcot, Disney california adventure and Disney Tokyo sea should consider making a big hero 6 land called "san fransokyo city of big hero 6" For attractions all I can come up with Happy time with Bay Max Big hero 6: cyber flight (simulator) Lucky cat Cafe spin Tower of Fredzila The gogo-coaster
Nice idea! I hope that the hybrid Indy-Speedway ride is the route we head with Zootopia. I just hope that the ride further expands the world-building of Zootopia's biome neighborhoods, because there's just so much potential there!
Admittedly, when I first thought of a ride for Zootopia, it was the train that went through all the lands. I liked the idea of people being on the train along with other animals (in screens or whatever). However, the idea of a chase through all of the towns sounds really cool. Seeing all of the different areas, including areas for both very big and very small critters, would be very cool indeed. :-)
@@Triplee_Mx3 Hey! I like Dinoland USA. I agree Zootopia should get its' own land in Disney's Animal Kingdom but not at the expense of replacing my favorite land.
I completely agree with you it would be rather awesome town Zootopia land to actually put on in Walt Disney World but I’m afraid it can’t be helped we’ve already have the Star Wars one galaxies edge in Walt Disney World already though it would be sound pretty awesome if they would’ve done Zootopia land but like I always say that’s just the way the cookie crumble‘s.
Finally Zootopia gets some recognition, like all of the other revival Disney films get something to go with the movie like Frozen got a sequel and a ride, Tangled and Big Hero 6 got TV shows etc.
3:11 I’ve watched Zootopia so many times I can’t even keep track! I think a great “state of the art” component could be a drop track, as in the movie when Nick and Judy are in Rainforest District, after falling off of a bridge, they land in a pile of vines that collapse. I could see the same being done with a test track ride vehicle and prob a screen covered projection room (like runaway railway transitioning to the underwater scene).
I would like the ride system to be themed like the train in the movie. Guests of all ages can sees Judy and Nick's missions in the city through the windows.
Marshall Grayson not trying to be rude, but was a zootopia land something we want? I love th3 movie, an attraction could be cool, butzootopia la d isn’t something I personally look for in a Disney park. The park already is zootopia
Hidden Mickey at 3:11! Hey there, I think the Zootopia Land is going to be amazing and I think I have a very good idea of what the ride will be like. In the Magic Kingdoms game on mobile devices, they tend to add everything from the parks in many updates. I went to visit my game to see what they had for Zootopia and they added two attractions Zootopia Race Track (which features a patrol cart and Flash’s Car) and Zootopia P.D. To me, that’s an indication that we will probably start off as recruits on parking duty (just like Judy did in the beginning of the film) and we will be whisked away into a high speed chase to help Nick and Judy catch him. This will probably be designed like Test Track and I believe (based on how the attraction looks In the game...guests will have the track at some point go outside the building much like Teat Track at the very end.
3:11 I am super pumped for the new Zootopia land. I think that a cool ride system for them would be what they have planned, but I also think it would be nice for it to move slower just because I want to appreciate the story and the theming. It would be awesome if they used an updated system of Tomorrowland Speedway. I mean, who doesn’t want to see a giant adorable bunny cop?
My friend sent me the link to this video and I actually yelled because I was so excited. So stoked to see what they end up doing with that building, whether it’s a test track-esque ride or something entirely different. Could be an environmentally influenced test track (rain in the rainforest district, cold in Tundratown)? Really excited to see it all come together.
3:11 I really like the idea of a Zootopia land. I personally really enjoyed the movie, and I have been hoping they would add one. Kinda wish it wasn’t on the other side of earth though. I think the ride system should be a little like the Indiana Jones ride system, but trackless, if that’s possible. I don’t think high speed sections would really fit the movie that well, and younger kids might enjoy it more.
Id like the idea of a Zootopia land and I think the movie resonates well with the larger Disney universe giving its all about walking and talking animals. As for the ride it looks like it does not have a huge outdoor area for an speedchase so Id imagine that they rather try to do something creative indoors like what they did to take Minnie and Mickey through the different sections of theyre runaway railway or how they use different areas and trackless rides in Rise of the Resistance ride. You can easily imagine simulated moves like the millenium Falcon to create a feeling of movements without actually move that much. What I also wonder about is the square nature and relative low profile of the show building itself since its reminds me more of a central station or shopping more than an eloberate show building - Could it even be that they will use a large section of the building to create a Zootropolis central station with some character meet and greet and a more fixed Smugglers run like atraction for the ride itself? And while this probebly upset the traditionalists I do think it could be a cool idea to turn Magic Kingdoms Mainstreet USA to a Zootropolis city area where we can explore different shops and entertainments in that city before reaching the Cinderella castle and the rest of the areas of the park. That would also fits the wish to create a more IP driven parks in WDS. Or even better - Why not create a full fledged Zootropolis themed fifth park whom can have multiple theatres, shops and rides centred around a big city feel? Johan.
Personally I’m a much bigger fan of the EMV system than the Test Track system because it makes you feel more immersed in the story! (And the vehicle’s motion is so unpredictable and fun.) I’d love to see a drop-tower element on the Zootopia ride (like they’ve done on Rise) maybe imitating the police vehicle falling off a cliff in the jungle through the trees and landing on the forest floor, before speeding on to other biomes!
love the idea of Hybrid ride system (Test Track + Indy).. The ZPD could easily go through different climates and end with a high speed chase.. Count me in!
If there were to be a fast outdoor section you would surely see land clearing by now for that section. It also is surely not the same layout as Test Track given the shape of the show building, as you appear to suggest.
Really excited for this! Hoping to see a version of this land at AK one day. But, speaking of the ride technology. Have you seen the rumored cars Universal is using for Mario Kart??? Something like that would be awesome!! Higher speeds and maneuverability all in one!!
3:11 Thanks for the update Jack. I would like to see a Zootopia Land replace dinoland in Animal Kingdom. It makes sense the Disney is using the Dinosaur technology to build the Zootopia attraction. I would expect they will build it in Shanghai, gauge fan reactions and then, if positive, retrofit Dinoland to a similar concept at around the time a Zootopia 2 movie would come out. It would be an easy and cheap way to update a part of Animal Kingdom that has seem largely ignored the last few times I have been in the park. Primeval Whirl shutting down seems like a soft first step in a bigger plan.
I won't give up, no I won't give in. Til I reach the end and then I'll start again. No I won't leave, I wanna try everything. I wanna try even though I could fail
Zootopia Land seems to be lots of fun. Especially if they can merger both existing vehicle systems into one riding through all different enviroments of Zootopia. I am impressed with how fast the Shanghai Disney Resort is growing. Jack, have you visited the Asian Disney parks?
I think Dinoland USA in Animal Kingdom is the perfect place for a zootopia to be built. It has so much to offer. There could be more theming and 2 rides or more. It would most definitely fit with the environment of animal kingdom. There is no other place that makes more sense for building zootopia
I get your reasoning, and I do agree that almost all of dinoland just isn’t that good in terms of theming. But I have two reasons why they should build it somewhere else in animal kingdom. 1. Dinosaur. It’s such a great attraction, that’s so simple, but fits so well with the theming of dinoland and animal kingdom. I’d hate to see it replaced by an ip, which not only would be sad, but would make everyone pissed. 2. Animal kingdom needs a dinosaur presence in the park. It’s called animal kingdom, and dinosaurs were the kings of all animals in prehistoric times. There has to be a land dedicated to them.
Actually, there is a free plot of land between Rafiki's Planet Watch & Africa/Asia that would be perfect for a Zootopia Land at Disney's Animal Kingdom: imgur.com/RaXmAID I definitely want a Zootopia Land at Disney's Animal Kingdom but not at the expense of losing Dinoland USA (my favorite land at the park).
Here's hoping it makes it's way to the States eventually! I love Zootopia, it's quickly grown to be one of my favorite Disney movies of all time, and I'm glad that it's getting. But as an American, it's kinda frustrating that it's only happening in China right now. If we could have an identical land in DIsneyland CA or Disney World, I would be very happy
The ride system was to be similar to the cancelled Toontown Transit Bus ride with Roger Rabbit. and possible it uses the screen set up they use for Mandalorian filming where the screen wraps around the vehicle in the centre so you are actually put into the whole world of Zootopia as you drive around.
3:11. I loved this idea for the Shanghai Disneyland Park. However, I do agree that the Zootopia land should also be in the Animal Kingdom. I feel like it could replaced the Dinosaur themed land. Especially, because The Zootopia car chase ride could replaced the dinosaur track ride.
Listening to your video the idea came to mind that if they combine the motion control aspect of Indiana Jones with the speed of Test Track, they could make a really fun cartoon chase sequence. Just some thoughts here: you could speed along really fast and slip on a patch of oil in the street. You could chase another car with animated figures in it. Those figures could do something to your car that make you lose control and spin out. You could drive your car over a bumpy / rocky road. The tech is pretty great already. The ability to make a ride that is not 100 percent grounded in reality is a very cool prospect.
3:11 I think the new Zootopia land is going to be a really cool, and I hope one day it comes to animal kingdom at Walt Disney World. I think the ZPD ride should be a system based off of Indiana Jones Adventure, or the Spiderman ride at Universal Studios Orlando. It will also have projections of the characters as you help them fight bad guys and catch savage mammals. Stay awesome Jack!
I'd love to see Zootopia Land takeover Dinoland and Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom! It would help with Cost being they have already done the Imagineering for Shanghai version. They could use Dino ride.
Right, like Zootopia has so much potential and Dinoland USA is the perfect place for Zootopia to be made. The land can be an actual land, not a mini land. There is enough space to make 2 rides, and maybe even a flat ride. There is just so much that can be done
3:10 Radiator Spring Racers is one of the top rides in all the parks. A dark ride, thrill ride combo similar to it would be a great addition to the parks. The only downside to Racers is throughput. Regardless they absolutely 100% need to include Flash in a major way. Have Flash at the start im an office setting and then maybe again during the thrill portion.
I am so excited to see them using xiu tobia in one of the Disney parks! Although I may never get to shanghai Disney, that gives me hope that maybe 1 will come to the United States parks.
Ride system similar to both Test Track and Dinosaur together, with Runaway Railway style technology. Also a chase sequence similar to Fast and Furious over at Universal.
Imagine retheming Dinosaur Land in AK to Zootopia Land. If it’s the same ride system, then it’s not out of the picture that they’re giving that a look.
I think a indiana jones style ride would fit Zootopia better than a test track. Gives more time to get more involvement in the ride and would be a better " chase " type ride. I wanna go to Shanghi Disney so badly! I hope when they get the Avengers Campus they utilize alot more of the marvel characters and maybe even expand further than the USA disneys can due to contracts! I'd love to see their take on a full scale Wakanda!
I Really Want A Zootopia- Land At Disneyland Paris, For The System I Think Is Gona Be A Great Idea To Combine The Sames System Of "Cars,Radietor Springs Racers" And "Indiana Jones Adventure" Together, In That Way It Looks Like Driving A Real Police Car :)
3:11 I think its great to see that newer movies are having their own attraction in the parks. For me, I would like the ride system to be the Test Track and the Radiator Springs Racers ride system. Because it's concept is more similar to the attraction than the Indiana Jones and Dinosaur Ride System. Test Track and Radiator Springs Racers Ride System is more about Speed and Racing, While the Indiana Jones and Dinosaur Ride System is more about the Adventure vibe and the rocky and bumpy tracks.
Hidden mickey at 3:11. I think they need to have Nick and Judy take a ride through Frozen's Arendelle. Later in the show, they could team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy on a roller coaster type adventure. That way, the attraction could be utilized as a perfect replacement for the Spaceship Earth refurbishment. Mary Poppins could narrate instead of Dame Judy Dench.
3:11 In all honesty I believe that it should be more like test track to get a more realistic view. The more actuator car would take away from the view of the ride.
3:11 I’m definitely excited for Zootopia Land but I don’t think I’ll be going to Shanghai anytime. It’ll be nice if it gets cloned to Animal Kingdom because DinoLand U.S.A. needs a replacement. Well I’m no engineer and I don’t even know if this is possible but it’ll be very cool if they could use electro-magnets below the group to control the vehicles. That way the vehicle can be trackless, and if possible can switch between on land, on water or even suspended with magnets above.
3:11 Zootopia is one of my favorite Disney movies and I am glad it is getting the representation in Disney parks it deserves! The ride vehicles from Indiana Jones or Dinosaur definitely seem more suited to the design of the Nick & Judy's police car in the movie. After this Zootopia land is complete in Shanghai, I also think Animal Kingdom would be a good candidate for a Zootopia themed land. Dinoland USA should have enough space to accommodate a themed land like this, and perhaps if that update were to be made the nearby Dinosaur ride could be re-themed to be like the attraction coming to Shanghai Disneyland. The ride vehicles and square footage available would be similar enough.
I hope it has elements from Indiana Jones. the technology would really help sell the idea of a high speed chaotic chase thought the city. Maybe even a scene on a bridge in the jungle district as a kind of homage to Indiana Jones.
Here is what I think will happen. I think it will use the same or similar track layout to Dinosaur, and if the ride does well they could clone it and replace Dinoland in Animal Kingdom with Zootopia.
I ever thought it had been constructing for over a year! But it turns out that zootopia is just starting...So this might even come out later than frozen land in hk...
The Mount Prometheus ride at Tokyo SeaDisney employs technology similar to Test Track/Radiator Springs. How does the possible ZOOTOPIA ride compare to Mount Prometheus?
I don't know if Disney's Animal Kingdom had any plans for a Zootopia land or not but if they did, they've more than likely been long delayed by now because of what's been happening right now.
