Yay my recommendation Edit: I somehow forgot to mention that this is an ice level, in Sonic Unleashed, Sonic travels the world and all the locations are based on real life locations, Holoska is based on Antarctica, Alaska, Greenland etc. Also Sonic has something called a Werehog form that he turns into at night in this game, the Werehog stages are more about combat, small puzzles and slower paced platforming and the Day stages are just normal Sonic which is why Cool Edge Night was so chill compared to Cool Edge Day. It's pretty funny that the Werehog is the slowest version of Sonic because Unleashed Sonic is his fastest.

One of the things that makes the Day Stage so great is that there's a section where Sonic dashes across the ocean, surrounded by large ice caps at 300 mph. You get one of the most breathtakingly gorgeous visual representations of speed in a video game, with this absolute banger in the background. It's wonderful.

Hey, Great seeing that you are getting into the sonic unleashed soundtrack. A lot of people (including myself) would agree that this is the best sonic ost. The main reason is because of how diverse it is due to sonic visiting different regions and how it switches between fast paced day music and slow paced night music. My favorite track from the game is Arid sands, It is the level in Sonic Unleashed that is meant to take place in the Middle East. You should also react to Shamar Day/Night. Shamar is the made up country that sonic visits to get to the Arid sands levels and mainly serves as the hub world for Arid sands and unlike the level themes the hub world themes are different versions of each other. The more Unleashed the merrier! Such a special game in many ways, with the soundtrack definitely being the highlight! You should eventually check out some fansongs by the community! In particular, Victor McKnight has many bangers! (My favorites being his trilogy of songs based on the Sonic movies: Ready Set Go, Up 2 Speed, Darker Side of Me)

I used to work at a t-shirt printing shop and whenever we got a giant order that needed to be done quick, Ice Mountain was one of my go to's getting me fired up and cranking out the shirts. It got to the point where I was making up my own lyrics. It's been so long though that I forget what they were other than the chorus where the notes I gave it "I love it, I love it, I feel it in my heaaaaart, I love it, I love it, GO!" like a background singer part. Hey ZorDon! I love the Unleashed soundtrack, I hope you do more songs from it! I have a recommendation with some cool extra versions and details :) so I think the only zone from Sonic CD you haven't done yet is Palmtree Panic (the first level), which has some of my favourite music in the game! You might know this already from comments on other videos, but the Past themes in Sonic CD used the MegaDrive soundchip instead of CD-quality audio due to memory limitations. But a prototype version of the game was found some years ago that had a CD-quality version of Palmtree Panic's Past theme, presumably from before the decision to change format was made! One more detail - another thing you might've heard about in your comments is that the JP soundtrack has these little transitional measures in the non-past themes, which are sometimes placed at the beginning of the track in youtube uploads. These sections were originally meant to play at the end of the song to transition back to the beginning, but this was scrapped and the final game just fades out the music and starts it again. Yea the Night stages tend to lean more into cool jazz and the like since at night you’re playing as Sonic the Werehog where Sonic is slowed down tremendously compared to normal in order to emphasize exploring the levels, doing puzzles and lots of combat (imagine a 3-D Mario level for example) compared to the very upbeat, high tempo feel of the day stages musical themes. They’re all very verrryyyyyy good

So the cool thing is that all the track songs on Team Sonic Racing are mixes of two Sonic songs together. You listened to Cool Edge Day mixed with Reach for the Stars from Sonic Colors. I would love for you to listen to The Chase and the Chase - The Abandoned Mine from Sonic 06. This game has one of my favorite Sonic soundtracks. Aquatic Base Level 1 is also a really pretty song from that game.

Yeah Sonic Unleash has a great soundtrack. I forget if you listened to the instrumental remix of Endless possibilities that gets used in one of the phases of the final boss, I might have to go back and check just in case.

Chill beats to relax to and upbeat hops to jog to. Lovely. Unleashed probably has the best soundtrack of any Sonic game. It's just the most consistently well put together. Which is a shame since people keep slamming it to this day. Ah well, at least we still have the OST. Oh yeah, try listening to Holoska night and then Skyscraper Scamper Day for optimum mood whiplash.

Having watched Sonic X's theme, you might also find interest in the original 3 american Sonic toon openings; SatAM, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic Underground. They're defiantly products of their time, but are beloved by many older fans and live on in our hearts

Ngl some of the recommendations in my opinion aren't rgw best toe each there own my pick for the nextfewunleashed songs would be. Apotos day/night and then windmill isle day and night. A lot of RU-vidrs use these songs in their videos, even non-sonic RU-vidrs. That and chunan day and night and skyscraper scamperday and night .
