"The Chosen One" is probably my favourite out of the bunch personally, this one is pretty close though. I think because the themes are very much suited to Shadow's inner feelings, his mental state at the time and how vulnerable he actually is as a character. I like the lost track "Broken" as well performed by Sins of a Divine Mother, but it had to be scrapped due to poor communication between Jun Senoue (one of the lead composers for Sonic, guitarist in Crush 40) and the band. He basically couldn't contact the singer at all to get permission.
The Chosen One is pretty good too but I also highly recommend the lost track for the game called "broken". Waking Up is my favorite so Im glad you covered it!
This is the neutral ending theme, best achieved by just ignoring the hero and dark mission and just going to the goal ring. In this endings Shadow believes he’s one of the many Shadow android replica’s made by Eggman after the events of adventure 2 where everyone thought he died. So with another Eggman robot turn treater, they fight against and when they win Shadow announces androids will rule and kills Eggman….. yeah he legit karaoke chops Eggman, it fades to black and Waking up starts playing. The multiple endings are wild and one of them even sad, honestly might even deserve’s it’s own reaction video lol
As others have said, "The Chosen One is another great track, along with the unused tracks "Broken" and "Who I Am." Fun fact; "Who I Am" was originally gonna be the main theme for the game, but they couldn't contact the singer to get permissions to use it, so they had to get Crush 40 to make "I Am (all of me)" effectively last minute to replace it.
@@SSJ22Terris well looking back on it now there seem to be conflicting accounts. crush40 for some reason deny the sing having any connection to the game. but magna-fi themselves just came back 2 months ago and confirmed it was initially written for the game. So yeah you were right lmao. sorry for making you doubt
@@SSJ22Terris I think they might've just been uninformed. the way the story goes crush40 asked magna-fi d to do a song for the game together....but magna-fi went and wrote it all along thinking crush40 would only handle the instrumentals. needless to say they had to scrap the song they already did (Who I Am) and start over in a new one. so years later when they released Who I Am as part of an album crush40 must've looked at it and not realized it was meant to be the same song from all the way back then
This song is another great in my opinion (the band Julien-k performing "Waking Up" in the Shadow the Hedgehog Game is also the same band, that performed "This Machine" for Team Dark in the Sonic Heroes Game)
"The Chosen One" is definitely one worth a listen. you also got the final one of the shadow themes "Almost Dead" which's also decent but has the infamous reputation of being the edgiest sonic song to ever exist lol
I recommend checking out the "Project Shadow" shortfilm by João Filipe Santiago. It is a great fan project set in the Sonic movie universe. I think you would enjoy it. Also you don't need to watch the previous sonic movies to understand what is going on, but it was made as setup for the third sonic movie.
Gotta listen to “The chosen one” next, it’s more on the emotional side compared to all the other ones and gives you a great idea of the struggles he faces.
I think this is my SECOND favorite credits theme in the game. I'd really love it if you heard Who I Am (lost track) and Never Turn Back (the true end credits theme)
The stuff about "secrets inside your head" and "the ones with answers" are most likely alluding to the fact that shadow's an amnesiac looking for answers about his past in this game. The 3 main antagonistic forces (the Black Arms, Eggman, and G.U.N) are all people that hold some answer towards shadow's past and play a large part in his origin
You gotta do a reaction to both 'Sonic Boom' and 'You Can Do Anything' in the same vid, specifically videos with the animation for the game opening in it. Sonic Boom is the US release version while You Can Do Anything is the Japan/Europe release
almost all the vocal themes in Shadow the hedgehog are the songs for the various endings the game has, which is why there are like 5 songs that all seem to be "shadow's theme" that you have seen so far. Eggman has a lot of themes over the years, though i think the three most relevent ones based on your recent videos are going to be "theme of Eggman" from Sonic Adventure 1 which has no vocals, then "E.G.G.M.A.N" from sonic adventure 2 which does have vocals, and "Doc. Robeatnix mix" from Shadow the hedgehog which is a remix of E.G.G.M.A.N. thanks for these reaction vids, it is nice to see someone find the music i have obsessed with since i was 8. though it must be especially weird without the contexts.
Hey wonderful lady So in your His World video you said to send you recommendations of other versions if there were ones, so I wanted to suggest you these ones(not for a reaction, just fir you to enjoy really) -His World by Branime Studios Its the only version of the song in my language, I looked for it for years and it means a lot to me because of that, so if you're interested in foreign versions you might enjoy that - Solaris Phase 2 Accordion by 101Phase In my childhood my grandfather would always play his accordion to us, its something I remember really fondly and Sonic 06 did have an accordion song in it so I think its fitting that someone would make a cover in this instrument, and its really good seriously And thats about it For something to react in this channel though I do have other two recommendations if you'd like to check them out - This Machine Remix by InGodWeRock Its the definitive version of the song in my opinion, enough said - Sonic Frontiers Anime Opening by Thai McGrath Since you were in a Frontiers binge a while back I think you will absolutely love this one Its a combination of Vandalize with other iconic Sonic songs all in one GMV of sorts that is...really tearjerking, it shows how far the franchise has come and its just phenomenal And thats what I had to say & recommend, I wish you a wonderful day and thank you for your time reading this(if you did) and your great work As a Sonic fan and a member of this community I'm really grateful
I think you should react to 2 non-vocal tracks one is from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and sonic generations 3DS and it's called big arm. The second one is callled speedway highway all 4 versions from sonic cd(japanese soundtrack)
If you like JRPGs maybe react to Yakuza/Like a Dragon's Soundtracks, such as Baka Mitai, Judgement and some of the boss themes like Pledge of the Demon or Receive you the hyperactive
Chosen One hits the hardest and the emotional one of the songs then there's an unused song also the one that is like CO called Broken by Sins of a Divine Mother but think that one's copyrighted.
