I think Zoro was from Void Century. Maybe, Zoro is the son of one of the Wano Samurais who fought together with Joyboy especially under Shimotzuki Clan. They asked Toki to send Zoro in the future where he can meet the future Joyboy which is Luffy. Also, maybe Shimotzuki clan passed down that hidden message down to their clan mates that in the future, there will be a Shitmotzuki that will be Joyboy's comrade. That's why Zoro backstory about his origin (family scenes) is still on process.
Nooo not at all we all know zoro when he was too weak and ignorant and didnt even think about going to grand line yet joyboy and these stuff so thats absolutley false . Because at least he would be known or wanted to go and oda would have hinted it as always in some of his action but it was clear he knew nothing at the begining of the anime when luffy found him
He needed to give back the sword since the myth is that ryuma sword protects wano and all the crap happened when moria stole the sword and ryuma corpse. In a sense its fate for him to bring it back home in return he was given a sword that is new and from a person that wanted to see the world and explore it which is very fitting for zorro.
I mean it enabled him to carry his current swords. He can’t get rid of Wado Ichimonji, Enma is goated, and Kitetsu is a sword Zoro “trusted” even though it’s cursed. Imo his current trio is unmatched

My theorie is the D Clan can not be erased because they simply get infinitely reborn. Like Roger said to rayleigh. " I am not going to die, my friend." So Ruffys is a reincarnation of joy boy and Roger. And Zorro is a reincarnation of Ryuma.

You don’t understand, Zoro’s ancestor Ryuma defeated a corrupt swordsman that was oppressive towards people when they asked for help. Zoro defeated the samurai prefecture of Wano that was full of corrupt samurai so in a way he also liberated Wano from corruption just like Ryuma.
A story where every character has connections to superheroes would be very boring. I think it would be much better for his master to have a bond with this man and to unite the zoro in this way, even if he is not related by blood

It will also make sense why zorro has green hairs which is not usual its rare. And ushimaru shimotsuki who is shown in this scene also has unusual hair color blue. Thats can also that zorro's family member have unusual hare colors.
I heard a rumor that he was a failed clone of Ryuma made by Vega Punk or maybe that samurai sword smith who gave him his first swords brought him to wano for Ryuma because Kaido had taken over wano or his grand son
It's Shimotsuki Ushimaru, Oda already said its not his father. Zoro is from east blue, his Mother is probably from Wano, she is a Shimotsuki, his father is a Roronoa from East blue
oda recently revealed the family tree. Ryuma is also part of the tree btw, but back to him. His name is Ushimaru and he is zoro's grandma's brother, so he is from the same generation as zoro's grandparents.

Ushimaru was alive till 20 years ago so he can be zorro's father that way ryuma will also be zorro's ancestor.

Kids read the manga.. or atleast watch the anime carefully... Zoro's father is not this.. is is Roronoa Arashi his mother was Terra his Grandfather was Roronoa Pinzoro his grandmother was Shimotshuki Furiko who was sister of this guy in the reel, Shimotsuki Ushimaru. And both ushimaru and furiko are children of Ryuma..
No, oda actually released zoros family tree, if u wanna know his real dad go there, but zoros grandad/ maybe great grandad (i forgot which one) is ryuma
Ryuma is Zoro’s ancestor based off the family tree that Oda provided us of Zoro’s family, even Yasuie and the dude from Yamato’s backstory are related to Zoro.
