Zoro promises Luffy (Old and New version) Eng Sub 

The way zoro say "kaizoku o" in the old version is perfect in my opinion. The feeling of regret in his voice just sounded more impactful

I like the way the new one looks but nothing compares to the emotion in the old one. The lack of music, waves splashing in the background, Zoro’s teary voice echoing in the middle of the sea.

This scene made zoro my fav character in an instant 🥺💚

Old version was waaaaay more epic and memorable it has such a special feeling to it 🤍🤍

The big difference between the old and new to me is the sound in the background. I think the scene has so much more weight and impact in the old one because u can only hear the sound of the water around them where as in the new version they have music in the background when I think it would've been better silent in my opinion

The music in this new version made it seem like it's an epic declaration while it is in actuality a solemn vow. I mean, it kinda is the former, but nowhere near as much as it is the latter. Not even close. The 3D2Y version is the best of both worlds: A solemn vow, crisp animation and voice acting, and music that perfectly matches the scene.

People always just say the old one is better. Both are good but the new one was fkr sure an improvement. At least visually. Mihawks smile and the way zoro was laying at the end were huge improvements.

Contrary to popular believes the new version is way better than the old one. The animation, the background music, the tone, the reaction everything is far better. Old one looks dull and doesn6hit hard. The new one does and with that epic background music it’s more awsome.

the fact that there are no riots about how new one piece is pure garbage is fascinating to me. you cant even compare these two scenes in any way. the voice. the animation. everything is far more authentic in the old one. just look at zoros crying face. in the new one it just seems like zoros shoe came off while running or something whereas in the old one you can actually see his pain. new one piece made me a redditor smh
