@@oofdotcom420 Is that true? This game is actually getting so bad. People who say USSR don’t get coddled are delusional. The 2S38 is a better AA than the LvKv 9040 and a better light tank than the M3A3 Bradley yet sits at the same BR as both of them. The T55AM1 was 8.3 for absolutely ages before finally going to 8.7. They get a replacement AA to fill a gap left by an OP AA. The Object 292 is somehow harder to kill than a T80 and has the best pen round in game but 10.0 is just fine. The 2S6 is a better AA than the OTOMATIC but sits 0.5 BR lower. The list goes on.
so, basically only USSR/Russia making SPAA for now mostly, all others are pretty old, and ZSU-23-4-M4 relatively new vehicle, it have pretty modern missiles on board
@@tsugumorihoney2288 Mistrals are one of the most advanced MANPADS in service to date. Other than the RBS 70 BOLIDE and FIM-92Ks. Most of the NATO made MANPADS are completely modeled incorrectly. The only non-western MANPAD modeled incorrectly in game that I can think of is the Chinese HN-6.
@@tsugumorihoney2288It has the igla anti-air missiles found on russian helis like the Ka-52 and the Mi-28s. Yet, for some reason, the one on this SPAA doesn't lock on as easily as when it is mounted on the helicopter.
In 2016 they were joking about this thing "being only good for arabs", nowadays they probably wish they've updated all remaining ZSU-23-4's to this standard and that they have used 4*2 Verba blocks instead of 2*2 Igla ones 😂
Going from the Strela to the 2S38 and the Pantsir and back down to this after research to spade was a highly interesting and alarmingly frustrating episode. The missiles are more effective if you got out and threw them.
So, this launching a barrage of bullets your way is considered "without any warning" apparently. And don't worry, the missiles on this, despite being the iglas, somehow have less range and are worse than the iglas mounted on the russian helis.
@alexmaximus9134 that came out wrong, I think it's more because I can hear most SPAAs when the start firing in the air so I start evasive maneuvers, but for some reason, I can never hear the Zsu and it's very annoying cause they got laser accuracy
@alexmaximus9134 eh, maybe it's just my settings, I guess Zsu has just faster bullet speed so the sound reach me faster I dunno, it's just that so far at my current BR I always die to Zsu cause I couldn't hear it in time
@@vinny.g5778 Well, it's gaijin, so who knows what else they messed up. From tanks that sometimes don't make any sounds, to basically the entire volumetric mechanic (for tanks) and realshatter (for aircraft) mechanics. The only thing i can say that they improved massively over the older warthunder versions that actually matters is the repair costs no longer being absurdly high. But basically everything else either stayed the same or made worse. So i wouldn't be surprised if this problem of yours is just gaijin's latest screw-up.
The main differences lie in that the Strela has a much better missile compared to this one. The new ZSU is armed with a MANPAD, while the Strela is a genuine mid range SAM. Plus, with the new aiming system the Strela gets its an absolute menace against aircraft as the range gets pretty ridiculous at times.

Su-39: doesn't get thermals despite you being able to literally see the second prism on the targeting container. Su-25SM3: slight modification that is somehow better in all regards then a whole new plane that was designed from ground up to replace Su-25 Probably a first time "Gaijin logic" chose russian vehicle as a victim ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ok are heli launched versions of any missile just worse, anything that isnt purpose made for helis us significantly worse than ground or plane launced equals

@@JetS_Gamer oh dude playing Britain is awful for spaa, nothing down the AA tree is worth anything and the top tiers are some of the worst spaa in the game easily you go straight from the marksman to the stormer straight to the adats it’s awful
