This is by no means a step by step how to guide.
This is me fumbling through a job I have not done before, after the machine went down on the job, on a time sensitive job (that we completed on time).
Come with me on a journey of discovery, and a few mistakes, as we get this little machine back on the chew.
2017 Bandit ZT1844, 972 hours on original bearings.

The ‘cone nut’ is a H series locking bushing. The other style used on the cutter head pulley , tapered lock with 2 grub screws I think is way easier and have never had problems with them. In twenty years. When you put the grub screw/s back in the collar loctite them. If they vibrate loose and the bearing spins on shaft you won’t know till you need to have the shaft braised. It does happen. Good job.

I have seen the 2 grub screw style tapered lock. Thank you for correcting me with the correct terminology regarding the H series Locking bushing. I did not know its correct name, and having the correct name will help others. I really appreciate your input.
