Audition Mr & Miss Radioplus 2011 at Flic En Flac on 03/04/ 2011 on occasion of 9 th anniversary of RADIOPLUS. Mr and Miss Radioplus Final contest will be held at CAUDAN WATERFRONT, PORT LOUIS on the 17th April 2011. Public are most welcome.
A voluntary public member joined the stage to performed this dance .....on beat of bhojpouri song Zubeida from DJ NEERMAL

love trini music tbh, there are uncanny resemblance due to demographic similarities i guess. any trini who speaks ur bhojpuri mght even understand 85% of our bhojpuri im sure.

Not many people speak bhopuri in Trinidad, songs are still in bhopuri but it is not spoken everyday

zoom rader g It is an endangered language in Mauritius too, spoken mostly in the villages by middle aged/elderly people, understood by youngsters who generally replies in Mauritian creole.(also thanks to the perception that it is the language of the backward coolies) I was one of the few lucky people living in the capital who manages to understand a bit of it thanks to my knowledge of Hindi & from hearing my granny converse with her friends. In one generation it will possibly become extinct.

@@amitexo I hope bhojpuri langage will not extincted in one generation because it will be a great lost for the culture. I'm a mixed creol tamil from Reunion island and here any tamil descendant sepaks tamil. We lost the language. It was spoken after one generation from the coolie trade but nowadays tamil is not speak in my island. That's sad..

and this kind of mixture of cultures and people doesnt happen very often in trinidad ,guyana or surinam unfortunately,their bhojpuri music is called chutney music(sometimes mixed with soca) u can look for it on youtube,its quite nice too.
