Im trying to imagine how the cost of these clothes should make up for all costs involved in fashion shows (venue rent, photographers, models, make up, lights, sounds etc) and then rental of the studio, pay checks of employees back at the studio, his own pay check plus some profits. I see most celebrities walk red carpets on borrowed clothes, so who actually buys these and are there enough sales to keep this whole enterprise going?
My very being is drawn to such beauty yet it's like running toward such a vision, longing to just melt into the illusion only to be caught within a storm of slashing glass shards. After the all the glass falls, there I stand bloody, realizing I was never invited to this dream nor will I enter without violence which ironically destroys the illusion. Ah! But that's just it... it's an illusion. The fact that the designer chose to let the world know he has no room in this presentation for a single person of color is, to say the very least, soul shattering. Albeit, there's NO denying the gift. Yet, I would rather sear my own eyes and eat that same glass that came crashing down on me than to go without saying, "Zuhair Murad, you can do better. Your gift exceeds mere commodity and the WORLD deserves more from you".
This would be so much better without the giant "fashion feed" water mark plastered over this beautiful piece that isn't even originally your own content. Glad I found the original video without the watermark (which for some reason has less views).
Running in a gown, really? Seriously? Whatever happened to the runway or catwalk? please go back to the days of the catwalk? Your creations are beautiful please go back to days of the runway catwalk where we can see all the details of your creations.
