I survived my first year of university!
And it was amazing and more than I could've asked for BUT I was happy to come home, be able to reconnect with my friends and family, and of course .... finally be able to vid after hOW LONG
I really, really hope this is worth the wait.
Words cannot describe my love for these two so hopefully I did them justice. Their bond is absolutely incredible and I really tried my best to capture that. Scene selection took awhile but overall I am happy with it -- praying you guys can catch all the vague parallels and "scene" transitions I threw in here and there haha
Anyways -- I truly hope you all enjoy!

Iroh was never banished. He gave up everything just to help Zuko, a comfortable life in the fire nation to bum around the world being shouted at by his nephew but he did it anyway, he was always on his side. If that isn't love i don't know what is.

Iroh's belief in Zuko truly saved him, he is the true father figure for Zuko. Never once he stopped believing in Zuko. I just can't.

Well in the early drafts Iroh was just going to be Zuko's strict sifu and that's it... Yet Zuko was still planned to turn good

@@qiralyncassette that might be right, tho I didn't know. But imo it's still crystal clear Iroh never lost faith in him, and that was Zuko's actual guide when he was dealing with his inner struggles and dilemmas.

@@caitlynr7295 I was saying that Zuko would have eventually join the good guys without Iroh since Iroh at first was just designed to be Zuko's sifu and the creators already knew Zuko would eventually become an ally, it wasn't really a rebuttal just pointing it out. Aside from that I adore Iroh and Zuko's father son relationship! Have you searched up Zuko's father on google? You should if you haven't 🙂

I especially love the clips for the lines 'I've been around the world and never in my wildest dreams' with Zuko in the air balloon and then him waking up, and all the shots of him lying down each night and avoiding contact with his uncle. And the 'I've a million lies referring his almost-redemption with Katara was so perfect and unexpected, yet so perfect, and I got feels.

Maybe I should cry, because this thing is so good, but incredible sad and fitting to the scenes, but I can't stop smiling, because it's so beautiful at the same time! The relationship between Iroh and Zuko was one of the best things in the whole series!

"Bet my life" is such an interesting saying. Telling someone you'd trust them with your life means you trust they'd keep it safe. Betting your life means that you would trust someone with it, but you're unsure whether they'll keep it or lose it, or throw it away. It's a gamble. And that is perfect for Iroh and Zuko. Iroh would trust his life to Zuko, but is unsure if Zuko is ready for that kind of responsibility. Zuko would absolutely trust his life to Iroh, but he doesn't know if his uncle is angry at him enough to throw his life away for spite(which is what he would assume from growing up with Ozai and Azula). They both took a gamble. And boy did it pay off.

STOP! This is horrible! I break down to tears, I can't see right anymore and I'm shaking on my bed like a baby... And my roommate is here sleeping! Y R U MAKING MY LIFE SO HARD?! Seriously, I'm really crying... it's kinda hart to find a GOOD fanvideo about these two and this one here is like a rare jewel... OMG, it's so flawless. The music, the timing, EVERYTHING is perfect! So beautifully done! I'm late to discovering ATLA (used to watch snippets when I was younger but I never fully appreciated it). This edit perfectly exemplifies the hardships and triumphs of their little family❤ (I also highly appreciate the use of the lovely imagine dragons song!) EYYYY, you're alive!! :) I had started a project with these two with this song because, let's be honest, it's the absolute perfect combination. X'D But I couldn't make it look good at all, so I gave up. SOOOOOO glad you ended up doing it because it's a billion times better than anything I could have ever made. Absolutely perfect. The voiceover on "please forgive me" was positively heartbreaking gahhh. Also the overlays are subtle and perfect. Glad to see you edit againnnn!!

I loved this song from the moment I heard it, then when I started really paying attention to the lyrics, I started thinking "This song is almost perfect for Zuko." As a result, I decided to see if I could find a Zuko vid for I Bet My Life, and this was the first hit. OH MY GOD. OOOOOHHHHH MYYYY GOOOOOODDDDDDDDD. Is it sad that at 0.03 I instantly Favorited this, 1) because it's YOU and 2) because of the song and my fav characters? I rarely remember to favorite stuff, but this triggered a necessity to be archived. (That was before I even saw the editing.) This was so incredible.
