In this episode i am reviewing the X-GT14.
Now having a pair of these rods i couldn’t wait to do the review first i had to get out and give them a go on the day I received them.
Quick trip to Porthcawl pier it wasn’t long before I christened both rods with a smooth hound on each rod on the very first casts with them.
6oz and baits felt effortless with bags of grunt in the butt section and lightning fast recovery through the mid to tip section.
Tip section held over very nice in the tide and i could see even the smallest of bites fishing at range.
Finally to get the rod out on the field was equally as impressive and just using a basic fishing cast i was achieving some good distances.
Not intending on using this rod for the field as its a fishing rod i couldn’t help myself but to try it with a full tournament cast and boy did it impress.
Bags of power through the butt section and that recovery to the mid to tip section was again very fast.
