I like my orbit. Ergonomics are almost perfect (stock could have been a bit longer). Reloading takes a bit of getting used to (like the artemis). It looks bloody awesome and it's pretty damn cheap. Also it looks like the Netherlands was one of the first places you could buy it (finally first at something foamblastery, jay)
Both the Meteor and Orbit showed up in the Philippines like near the tail end of September. You don't get Rivals in the local stores, so it was a bit of a pleasant surprise. Picked up the Meteor and can't wait to get the Orbit.
You probably already figured it out by now, but the little switch above the trigger is the repriming switch (allowes you to prime again in case of jam or shotgun load) and it can fire up to 3 rounds at once, I prefer nerf rival rounds, that way none of them just roll out.
Great video, love the editing in all of this! Foam Fest 2020! Can't wait already! Naming an ammo brand "compatible" would be a great idea actually haha.
I think the Zuru blasters look cooler than the nerf rival line, brilliant blues with stickers for the win. Also a much higher capacity rather than 12 round rival mags. AND the PRICE$ difference is all the better
It looks like that little switch thing by the trigger is a priming indicator. I noticed it was reciprocating as you primed it. I'll check it on mine and report back EDIT: Can confirm it is a priming indicator. Its forward when not primed and moves back when it becomes primed.
the button you diddnt know wat was is an unjamming button so that if you chamber a ball you can get it out or if you have any dificulties with the blaster you can open up the chamber without fireing
I think its meant to be compared to the Hypnos in terms of form and function It appears this still has the problem that balls sometimes dribble out with no power behind them though. Thats unfortunate. My Helios and Kronos (i dont own a hypnos or artemis/ haded) never did that. The mechanics seem a bit less sound in this blaster too. I guess thats the reason hasbro is king in this market space. Also of note is that while the capacity is higher than that of a Rival mag, it functions like a hopper blaster crossed with a front loader; so you can't quickly swap out to another pre-loaded mag like you can with a Hypnos or Helios. And it lacks the capacity of an Artemis. So its an interesting middle ground in terms of capacity i suppose; more on board than its closest comparisons (barring artemis), but less ease of reloading.
I always find it funny when people complain about nerf only giving enough ammo to fill a blaster once, but then they showcase an ultra high capacity blaster that still gives you 30+ rounds (depending on the blaster). Like "oh poor me, my nemesis was only packaged with 100 rounds. Step up hasbro!" But you just got 100 more rounds... But then its "thank you zuru for giving me 24 rounds with my 18 round blaster! Youre awesome!" Even though the Artemis gave you 30. Its a better argument against something like the Hypnos.
My only regret with buying the Artemis is the Hades has gone on sale cheaper than what I paid for the artemis and has double ammo and a color I like better >_
I think my dream rival gun is basically a Kronos that takes a detachable magazine but keeps the topside reloading door, so you can top it off or change the whole clip as needed. I thought the new Xshot pistol did that from the initial pictures I saw of it. Too bad for me I guess, although I think the follower system is a good idea to explore, and might lead to even better designs.
Like any other nerf blaster, the switch is to unlock the priming handle so you can unclear a jam. My review on orbit: 9.5/10 Lightweight, powerful, accurate, cant stop balls from falling out occasionally when reloading lol :p
Got a bit of a warning! I bought one in December, used it at a skatepark event and I managed to slice my middle finger at the knuckle 🙈🙈 the thing jammed up and I think it was when I was unjamming it I caught it 🙈 It may have been the loose nut behind the trigger causing the issues though 😂
Damn just found this and the pistol at Ross for like half the price. Covering them so far tho the pistol loading has a tendency of ejecting all the rounds out from the bottom
Cries in American.... hopefully soon....Really like this blaster, think it’s slightly better than liberator due to better capacity and being able to top this off. I wish the stock was longer so you could shoulder it and hold another 6-8 rounds (a capacity of 25 would have been very satisfying)
