Thank you for helping non-German speakers play this sim. FYI, brake hundreds are the ratio between brake weight ("Bremsgewicht") and train weight, in percent. It expresses the train's braking force relative to the train mass. The higher this value, the more effectively the train can decelerate while braking. Two trains with the same brake hundreds (and the same brake type) have the same stopping distance when performing rapid braking ("Schnellbremsung"). Among other things, the brake hundreds determine the PZB (point-based train control) train type (U/M/O), which in turn determines the exact speed limits and brake curves imposed by the PZB train control system. Calculating the brake hundreds is quite complicated, as it takes into account many factors such as the vehicles that make up the train, the types of brakes, some brakes possibly being unserviceable, and so on. Luckily Zusi calculates everything for us.

Hello! And thank you so much for taking the time to create these instructional videos. I am a retired gentleman who lives in eastern Canada. I have been a long time flight, truck, racing simmer and recently decided to try train simulation. I started with TSC and then TSW 4. I enjoy playing both but after awhile I realized that these were more game than simulator (TSC being closer to a simulator). Anyway, I am now learning ZUSI 3 with the help of your fine video tutorials, the English manual, and the DEMO version of ZUSI. All I can say is ZUSI is exactly the type of simulator I enjoy the most. I have absolutely no experience with the real thing obviously, but I do know that when I'm operating a train in ZUSI 3 my heart races and my brow sweats! Suddenly, graphics mean very little. My attention is fully engaged on the proper operation of the train! Thanks again for making the transition to ZUSI 3 much simpler. I am very surprised that AEROSOFT themselves have not completely revamped ZUSI with an English version. I'm sure it would promote sales!

Thanks for uploading this videos: the German language sometimes is a challenge for people who do not speak the langauge. About F4 time leap: you could open an empty "Buchfahrplan" (timetable) in ZusiDisplay. There you can see a clock running so you will know how long you'll have to wait before your train appears on the screen.

Currently I am playing the Train Sim World 4 game on the PS5. I am planning to buy Zusi for a real train driver experience and challanges. I always wondered how it works. I only know the basics of driving and safety systems, but I want learn more.

I should have a free program coming out soon that will allow you to find and filter all the routes in Zusi 3.5, thats approx 15,700 routes in seconds.... for example, do you want to find all the routes that are longer than 30 minutes travel time... no problem, do you want to find all the routes that are driven by an Ice 4 train (401)... no problem, do you want to find all the routes that start during the day (say between the hours of 8am until 3pm depending on time of year)... no problem, and so on.... it will also show you the Timetable for any route, plus there will be some custom columns of your own for every route such as Status, Recommendation and Favourites :-) Keep up the excellent tutorials

Strange, I haven't run into that problem. Are you using the Steam version? If not, maybe you need to download an update. Otherwise, maybe try to re-install the program. If none of that works, post the question on the English section of the Zusi forums.
