Hi Mark, Thanks for watching. I’m in Bortle 8/9 zone. That’s why I have no option but to use L-extreme with my ASI533MC Pro. I’m planning to add S2 filter in the last empty slot. That will help me in creating SHO images.

@@AstroCrescentDIY Here at my city home I am bortle 6/7. I use the 533MC pro as well. I ahve not tried the 533MM Pro yet as I am getting the EFW but the filters are expensive so will be slower getting them. I have a farm about 300km away that we will be retiring to next year and it is Bortle 1 /1.5. I have only shot from there once at easter..wow what a difference. I am only a newb so feeling my way around this :). I have been wondering about getting a Lextreme and you have answered my question. Thanks a lot that was a fantastic comparison. I dont think I have seen any videos doing that comparison at all.

Thanks for your kind comments 🙏🏼. I’m also a beginner as well. Even when you move to Bortle 1, you might need L-extreme or. triad filter with OSC camera to pull out the colours. Alternatively, as I have seen in many videos, you may do Hubble style HOO images with just L-extreme. I’m glad that the video was helpful.

@@SimjetAU Further, to reduce my costs, I use only 1.25” filters, which are the lowest priced ones. They go well with 1” sensor of the 533MC pro.

@@AstroCrescentDIY Yes I am going to use the 1.25 inch ones...for the cost. I like the cameras so will be using the small sensor ones

I did install 4 filters (1.25") in the Mini EFW. Since I only have a one shot colour camera (OSC), I only use either L-Pro (Galaxies) or L-eXtreme (Nebulae). EFW is mainly useful if you have a monochrome camera. I got this EFW Mini as exchange from a friend. If I were to but an EFW, I would go for 7-position EFW and I recommend that.
