All original? I came here to here them singing 25 lighters by dj dmd..........apparently if you shout a rappers lyrics over a guitar its an original song. Lol just funning but go listen to the iriginal version its a classic for hiphop heads and the south period

Do you know about their roots? You are probably referring to the ZZ Top that we all know from the 80's and on. You need to learn about their roots. They didnt find the roots you are thinking of until Eliminator.

I've heard of ZZ Top, though never listened to them, nor Billy for that matter I just found him from his feature in Rockstar from Nickelback, I know it's an old song, but that's proving that these are even older looking at the style of these cars in great shape, I like lots of different Rock, but I think I just added them to my favorites, haha.

Sounds great. Sounds like old ZZ stuff. Had to Google meaning of 25 lighters on my dresser. Not wild about the subject matter. Instead of covering this rap song they could have just written their own about Got to Get Paid and not have it glorifying crack dealers. It could have just been a blue collar anthem about honest work.

My dad just told me that ZZ Top is coming to my town in August. I've never listened to them until now and I love their sound! Now I'm really excited to see them live, they sound awesome!!!!
You will be amazed at their concert! One of the very few Bands with just 3 members that can put on such a HIGH Quality performance! I have played in many bands in my life but, never saw a class act like ZZ Top before!

I've tried singing that high bit that Dusty does, and man! It ain't easy hitting that note, especially with a gravelly voice like his (as well as playing an instrument at the same time)! He wants a rat rod with "G12 swangas" which is a popular wheel choice in Houston... they're based on 1984 El Dorado Cadillac wheels, with the center spoke poking even further out. Saw ZZ Top live in concert in Jacksonville, FL, USA on their _Antenna_ tour in the '90s. What a show! AND they brought some of the babes that you see in their videos. Almost burned down the colosseum...

I only saw them once (I had to convinve my mum to join me - was not a difficult task though) and loved every moment of that concert. It was melodic, it was loud, it was cool, it was beautiful. ZZ Top were perfect just the way they were. I badly miss Dusty...
I was always familiar with ZZ Top but not so much with their music. This is the first song I've sat and listened to them, and I am not disappointed. I'm 33 years old and grew up listening to nu metal as a teen and then got into death metal, black metal etc etc. That type of music just does nothing for me now, maybe because it's the lack of soul put into it. But now all I really listen to lately is priest, maiden AC/DC, Sabbath. Can anyone recommend a album to start with as I am a ZZ Top Newbie so to speak.
