It pisses me off how people constantly bad mouth Elwood, yea he ain't dusty and Noone will replace dusty but Elwood is doing a pretty damn good job at playing bass

Watching Billy is just unbelievable. When I see a video of him I can't stop watching. There is no other musician like him. So sad Dusty isn't there anymore but great that Elwood stepped in, so we can see some more of Billy and Frank perfoming and hear those songs live.

People need to realize that they're not hearing/seeing the same band anymore. And that's not just Dusty no longer being there. Can Ian Gillan sing Child in Time the way he did on Made in Japan? (Another band that just refuses to call it a day...) Of course not! All these guys are old now. Nature and Father Time is taking its toil.
Elwood is awesome! He's not trying to be Dusty. He's Elwood! He's one hell of a bass player. On top of that he's a decent human being with a big heart and enough kindness to go around.

If this is considered reenergized then the last time you saw them must have been like Weekend at Bernie's. To my ears this sounds completely slowed down, tired and worn out.
Elwood is just awesome. Fits ZZ Top like a glove. Giving his own twist to it. Love it. Sure Dusty is missed but people keep seeing Elwood as a replacement. Don't. Elwood knows ZZ Top like the back of his hand.
