@@bobbybaker8473 Got you. I am talking about my experience. No one I have mentioned her to has heard her name. We see her in Austin in a small venue. This surprises me.
Sept 23,2021 & I just discovered her by Shazaming a song of hers they were using on The Ultimate Surfer finale (Giant). I've put the show on pause and have now listened to almost her entire Playlist on RU-vid. AND subscribed. 60+ years old. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Lol
I got free concert tickets and ZZ Ward was the opener for Stone Temple Pilots. She is amazing live!. She was way better then the main event. Never heard of her before tonight but will be buying her albums after that performance. She is seriously underrated. Such a great voice!
What does it matter what other people like? Enjoy what you like and who cares. Besides, people start resenting new fans and consider artists "sell outs" when they get really big. Listen to ZZ with inner peace and don't be concerned about the rest.
WhateverIsTrue01 I'm actually good friends with her brother, Adam, and she couldn't be more thrilled with where she is at those point of here life. But remember, her music isn't for everyone. That's why there are so many different artists of so many different styles. No 2 taste buds are the same. I'm sure there is music that you can't stand that have fans that feel the same way about those artists as you do about her. Nice to see a passionate fan tho!
WhateverIsTrue01 I wouldn't call her underrated. I think she gets a TON of love and respect from people who have heard her. She might be underexposed, though. If that's what you mean, then I agree. :) I feel the same way about Gary Clark Jr. and Black Violin
Love me some ZZ Ward. I missed her last year in concert but I've seen her the previous 5 years. One year James Bay opened for her. I'm secretly glad she's not broken into the mainstream. It let's me see her smaller venues. But it would be awesome for her to get the recognition she deserves.
you know it's not fair that amazing artists like this isn't on the radio, instead we have fucking fetty wap who barely says anything when he raps and makes money
I hadn’t heard of ZZ until today and I listen to a lot of good music. Saw her sing and playing blues harp with Billy Gibbons and Orianthi. Great artist right here
Zsuzsanna Eva Ward AKA ZZ Ward: 6/2/1986 - This up and coming singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, and blues harp) made her official recording debut in 2012 with the acclaimed Til the Casket Drops. She has created a unique style that fuses the likes of the blues, rock, and pop with hip hop and both contemporary soul and R&B. Her vocal abilities have been praised for evoking the spirit of Etta James, Tina Turner, and Aretha Franklin.
Ermahgerd. Heard this song on "The Voice" last week, and haven't looked it up until now. I'm so addicted. *Clicks browser to restart song, plays Minecraft...*
Anyone else excited for the upcoming collab she's doing with Lindsey Stirling? Can't wait to see how she incorporates her voice with the violin and EDM.
Praise the music deities for ZZ Ward and her art of fusing Blues with Pop that's so influential to me as a guitarist especially since her emotive guitar playing is so enthralling.
Incredible, I heard ZZ Ward playing at a concert on RU-vid, didn't know who she was, took me a month to find out her name. It amazes me artists like ZZ Ward are so under the radar. Fantastic.
I have a ZZ Ward channel on Pandora and I've experienced so many other singers, musicians and groups that I hadn't heard of before through that channel that it is literally the only one I now listen to. ZZ Ward is phenomenal!
That voice, ( don't say beauty, makes you seem sexist ) , She beats me over the head with talent. Thank You ZZ Ward. You crush the crap YT tries to push on me.
