I'm in Texas, sweet tea and Dr Pepper are staples. I have never in my life seen anyone put baking soda in sweet tea. What is that for? I put 1 1/2 cup sugar per gallon and everyone tells me it's not sweet enough.
The baking soda helps keep the tea clear and keeps the tea from becoming bitter. It only takes a little pinch. I’ll bet your tea is delicious! You’re from TX - it’s gotta be! My grandmother’s was like syrup she put so much sugar in it. It was good but potent! I like it with a little less sugar.

Ms Harris, I love to come here. I know some things about country living, and it is so much fun to be here in your garden, see produce and problems, and solutions. Thanks! I fried those pickles!
I grew up in the South, My grand mother was a member of The Daughters Of The American Confederacy. She could throw a spread of food on the table that was the very best food I ever ate. Back then, she would go go and get some fresh ground corn meal and make corn bread in the oven. Along with the corn bread we had fresh churned country butter of which nothing sold in the stores would come close to its taste. She would always hang a salt cured ham up stairs for maybe 5-6 months and allow it to cure. You can't find hams like that anymore. By any chance, do you know how to make southern punch? If you do I would appreciate it much as to how to make it. Thanks :-)
Love the sconces that you have hung on your dining room walls. I in fact, I love everyone about this room - gorgeous!❤ Thanks Stacy Lynn for the video!!
My wife and I watch a lot of design and build shows from the UK. While they have some good ideas, they rarely have any color or warmth to their designs. I guess I'm bias, but I like houses that are warm and welcoming. You have made that space very inviting.
Lol! Ok... So This chicken salad (Duke's), your Mac 'N' Cheese, and Fried Pickles for The 4th. I probably need some greens, but thanks for the recipes... Enjoy your 4th!
Is it called the "Winsor" rocking chair? This is just for my knowledge. Please do correct me if I am wrong. You have a beautiful home, and it takes a lot of effort from all its members to keep it beautiful. Lots of Good Wishes and Prayers for you and your family.
I love your den Stacy Lynn. I absolutely love history and to see so many historic elements that you incorporated into your house is just amazing. It looks and feels very "homey" and loved. Thank you for sharing!❤
Hello Ms Harris. The American South has a lot to offer. You do a wonderful job of representing that. I have both Harvest and Love Language and love them both! Thanks!

Stacy Lynn, I love your sense of style and comfort and your home certainly reflects the love that it has seen within its walls. You haven't had to redecorate, because the class and style of your home is timeless. Just stunning in every aspect and entry little detail. Ahough I must say, that my favorite thing thus far is that Mississippi map! FAB-U-LOUS! Though I have lived my entire life in Arkansas, my grandparents and great-grandparents originated from Mississippi and so its just one of my favorite places to visit. And to the camera man or lady, GOOD JOB! You rocked it perfectly!! Thank you for not causing dizziness and for being detailed oriented to whatever the topic of the room was at such time.
