Repairs101 is the original handyman skills and tools show since 2010. Random knots, life hacks, tools, tricks and trade secrets hosted by the Grandaddy of RU-vid DIY: Steve #5.
I've never heard it called that (most sources call it the Surgeon's Knot) but if you've seen my Grilled Cheese on Rye knot video you know I'm down with calling it... whatever. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nMJkfMPc6J8.html
@@repairs101 It gets the nickname because this is the bare minimum number of throws surgeons use to suture and stitch. a single throw wont tighten as you relax the knot after binding. Meaning a good chance it can be knocked open.
Ciao Roberto! grazie per aver commentato! I am trying to produce more #shorts than ever before and I am always looking for opportunities to create more long form videos as well. Rock on!
Down to earth basic advice on how to make your mower last for years. Might have included to run out the gas in the carburetor at the end of the season. Great video!
In Poland this is the default mooring hitch, called “cumowniczy żeglarski” “sailor’s mooring”. It is taught on every yachting book and course and required for licenses. I was kinda surprised when I learned about its obscurity in the English speaking world.
My two tips: - Move to a city and live in a place with only street parking. You'll be a pro in no time. - Never park behind or in front of a car that has a bunch of dents, dings, and missing paint.
“Hi Ed. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was a fun project to do, and the end result is excellent. I can be a sounding board for you, and I suggest you look at the EV Open Inverter Forum. www.openinverter.org Lots of good projects and advice there.” Terry Moore Mooret88@outlook.com
If you pause the action at 00:40 - when I say "I went with this redimix stuff" You will see the tubes of mud branded ACE TILE GROUT and I highly recommend the stuff as I made this video almost exactly 10 years ago today and my surround STILL LOOKS GREAT after 10 years daily use! But no doubt different products will be available to you depending on where you live. Go with the redimix for better consistency. I would only mix grout from powder if i was doing a whole swimming pool and cost was a factor.
Its funny to me that I’ve done my own repair work on my home and some on my car for years and never once stopped to think of the variations of the socket and wrench sets I have. I always just start with one and work my way up and down until it fits.
You cut many spots too fast, fyi. Before you're even done drawing the chalk image, it cuts out in a fraction of a second. You're hand's in the way, and when it's not so I can see the drawing, it cuts out on the video. Thanks for the info, though.

With a channel like this, it’s 100% guaranteed that it will have armchair critics. I have been watching for years and appreciate all the tips snd how it’s done in a relaxed way. Always enjoyable. So thank you, and please continue doing these vids when you feel the desire.
Believe it or KNOT, Buddy was a classically trained actor based out of Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver named Coola Bear who has since gotten married and moved to Skookumchuck Narrows where he works in a tire shop and his wife is expecting twins.
i just finished body filling class in my school, I gotta say my 3rd gen auto body collision instructor would be screaming at the way you did your body filler work lol. but like you said you are not know it all. i was curious to see how you tackle this as I been sub to your channel since I was a kid.
Well thanks for hanging in with me all these years. Sometimes I wonder if its worth it anymore so its great to hear someone has been with me all along. (RU-vid analytics tells me 98% of my viewers are first time viewers). So... thanks! And I appreciate that you understand where I'm coming from as far as being a know-it-all goes. There's only so much we can be experts on, but there's no reason not to try new things. Especially if you're going to save a ton of money by taking on the job yourself. Please tell your instructor I have only done this twice before (a decade apart each time) and had only the product labels for directions. And the owner of the car seems very happy with my efforts.
In case of #sarcasm please watch this slower version. Monkey Fist Knot Dog & Cat Toy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-n6Ez4v6nAG0.html In case of #sincerity check out my selection of videos on paint drying!
Sorry for the sarcasm. It’s nice of you to share your knowledge by taking the time to put these helpful, occasionally speedy for beginners, videos together for us all. Thank you. (The new video you linked was very easy to follow)
oh yeah and what is the range? haha that's probably the most important thing. I remember seeing a similar video and the guy got like 120 miles range. Its fine I guess if everything is close by.
Hi Keith. The range is about what you mentioned and is dependent on the batteries selected. Think of this build as a prototype. It used first generation Lithium-Ion Batteries from a 2015 KIA Soul which were good at the time. I’m working out all the minor kinks and inconveniences now so when the next generation Lithium-Ion Solid State batteries to be commercially available, I will just put them in. The range would most likely double. Terry.
@@repairs101 ahh gotcha, good good ya still an achievement. Food for thought Limo could potentially get a max range since they are longer and can conceal a lot more batteries and blend the look of it. If you can make kits for that...... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Sorry but I'm not a company tech I'm a filmmaker. That said, are you accidentally using the dehumidifier setting? Are there any windows open in your house? (close them) . I'm afraid that's all I can think of. Good luck!
My stupid in laws think im the one smells told my wife that i smell when they ride to my truck i open the AC and the smell comes out....i always took a shower and wear a nice perfume. Actually it's a good deal heavier than a chicken cage. More like a gorilla cage. It's there to prevent the compressor from being damaged by forklift or whatever hazard comes its way. FWIW the pressure relief valve(s) are there to keep it from blowing up.
