A storm on a mission and you take supplies that are available and made candy 🍏🍏 Outstanding. Well, when that storm came through, you showed out. Glad you are okay
Hi. Treat makers price their plain candy apples anywhere from $5-8 and $9 and up for decorative candy apples. What kind of candy apples are you making? I hope this helps you.💕
This is normal…😂😂😂 It took me 3 to 4 times as a beginner before I got it right. This is why I’m showing you my way so you don’t make the same mistakes and get it right on the first time…lol. When you are cleaning your apples it’s important to not let your apples sit in the boiling apple method no longer than 6 seconds. I guarantee your apples will be crisp and not cooked soft. Do each apple one at a time. Let me know if you’re having problems with anything else. I’m here to support you each step of the way. Here’s my apple cleaning method:💕ru-vid.com/group/PLSve20__OpxHn2jrfGgn4H_zj7MSckuWR&si=MOwM-3C7z1xk5TGw
@@DIYQUEENDIVA I found you after my first try. I am finishing up some homemade boudin right now, but plan to try your method tomorrow!!! Thank you for responding!
That's how it usually goes. You find the help after the fact.😂😂😂 Yes, you should be fine. Make sure you come back and let me know how everything went for you. You got this! 💕
You can make whatever flavor you so desire because they are yours. I’ve never tried it, but again they are yours and it’s up to you and your preference.💕
Someone else asked this question. My only suggestion is to try it in a sample cake first, and don’t make the caramel as thick like we do for our caramel apples. So don’t cook as long.💕
When you get to the bottom and it's too hard to dip the apples in the remaining mix, do you just have to throw that mix out and start over? You can't add it to a new batch of syrup?
Hi! Some people reheat it by adding water and letting it reach back to 300 degrees. You can certainly add it to another batch. In my experience I don’t do reheating because the second time around it has a slightly burnt taste. I’m assuming because it’s been cooked to 300 degrees twice. I hope this helps you.💕
Hello. Bag them as soon as you get finished dipping your last candy apple starting with the first apple you dipped. I do only recommend Granny Smith apples because it’s harder to clean the red apples because they are sweeter therefore release more sugar or sap to clean off the apples. However if you want to use other apples it’s your choice and they are your candy apples.💕
It’s so good. Here’s my tv series on the best caramel apples you’ll ever make.💕 ru-vid.com/group/PLSve20__OpxEc4mtF5T3_EK_DZxFdilkg&si=saqO6JOS_JMn1JV6. Here’s my most recent video here with homemade caramel apples: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rWywutpdTtY.htmlsi=XZhIX2u2K4wfJm88
They have it on Amazon in a different brand. Do you want metallic airbrush or metallic gel? Let me know so I can pin it under your post. I can pin both if you'd like.
Right! Thank God the power is back on. Our Governor got things pushing through so fast under these circumstances. Everyone should have power unless they are on the tip top of the mountain or in a difficult area.💕

Hey Diva! Question? When making apples, I used the 4-3-1... I got a lot of air bubbles on my apples, can you tell me why? I've used your 6-4-1 with the powdered Karo and NO bubbles. What did I do? Ugh!
Don’t worry it’s an easy fix. You just didn’t wipe your apples down good enough. If you want to fix those candy apples with bubbles just run hot water over them until the candy dissolves and wipe them down and start over. You didn’t clean the wax off hard enough. Some apples got more wax on them. So when you’re cleaning your apples make sure you’re pretty rough wiping them down after the apple cleaning process.💕
How long does it boil before it reaches 300degrees? I this 2x and I must be doing something wrong because my mixture was still watery, did I have it on too high? I let it boil for 18 minutes on medium heat, then the second time I did it on high heat
I loved the look of these apples. I’m wondering if you removed the wax on the apples and also where’d you get the sticks? They’re so elegant looking!! I’m used to the wooden pop cycle sticks.
Yes, you must do the candy apple cleaning method here in order for the candy to stick on your apples: ru-vid.com/group/PLSve20__OpxHn2jrfGgn4H_zj7MSckuWR&si=eEYmm4GjJoHOGn4- The sticks are in my Amazon bake shop as well here: www.amazon.com/shop/diyqueendiva
I used your recipe last week with one added secret ingredient and gave the apples out to family and baby they loved them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤
It’s really up to you. Everyone’s prices might be a few dollars more or less. Today I sell my plain candy apples at $8 each and decorate candy apples starting at $10+
As a beginner, would it be best to use a candy thermometer and wait for it to reach 240 degrees for the caramel or should it come out the same just stirring it for 20 minutes?
Sorry for the delay, but due to the storm our WiFi is in and out. To answer your question you can do both, but as a beginner a candy thermometer can help you check the temperature of your caramel. If you’re using a thermometer try to take it off the stove at 235 because the caramel is still cooking when you take it off. It will probably reach near 240 when you do this. You want to make sure your caramel is going to set soft and not hard on your apples. If you go over 240 your caramel will not set as soft. But to be honest I have made my caramel apple recipe on different stoves and all it takes is 20 minutes if you set your stove between the 4 and 5 on your stove. This good homemade caramel apple recipe is so consistent with me and everyone who makes it that a candy thermometer is not needed plus it’s always getting in the way while you stir like in this video, but I also show what to do when it does get in the way here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Os6RC4orD0I.htmlsi=t8Zb3ZoFIHYjGKPG Most are doing 20 minutes without the candy thermometer. Now this only works for my homemade caramel apple recipe. I cannot speak for the others because they did not come out as great as mine. The main key is to continuously stir your caramel nonstop. I hope this helps you.💕
@@DIYQUEENDIVAok, got it! Thanks! I used your recipe for my candy apples and my church family loved them. Now some of them want caramel apples. Doing them today! 🙏🏾💕
