Welcome to Gilly's Fishing channel!!!! Im Based in Hartlepool in the North East of England I love to fish & make memories with my kids why not combine the two i can't wait to take you all on this journey with me, I'm fairly new to saltwater fishing but picking it up really fast hope you all enjoy and tight lines.
Well done all, especially Amelia top fisherwoman great variety of species. Hope Josh's phone still works, how fortunate and kind of Lucas to retrieve it for him, a great little watch tight lines as always guys.
Cheers John she was over the moon with her fish she always does well with the LRF Fishing & Ashton is over the moon his phone still works as are me and his mum 🤣 Lucas was amazing 👏
That little tiddler was a decent size kids had it when we got home but that's your opinion mate your entitled to it cheers for watching the Video and sharing your feedback 👍
Cheers she usually holds them fine but she's getting more afraid as she gets older lol I have a 1 & half year old son he loves my videos can't wait to do all this with him too
Do you ever sticka live bait out in them areas? close to the wall on a slider rig, we fish areas like this at home here in jersey. and its always worth a shot. - dropped you a new sub. keep up the top work
If ya lean over on a clear day nd look down the wall ya can see big wrass swimming along the wall but for some reason they wont take a bait or lure the just dont sho intrest in anything
Well done catching the whiting guys, still quite everywhere from the shore at the minute to be fair although there has been the odd bass and size codlings caught from the promenade when there's been some sea running. The ferry steps at the end of the town wall can produce a variety of species alternatively try a LRF light float fished ragworm on the seaward side of the pilot pier near where the blocks end short casts usually work. great to see the lads out happy days and tight lines as always
Brings back good memories of my father in law and his brother we used to fish on withensea beach 30yrs ago did a few competitions and the off to the club I enjoyed your video very much thankyou
Keep at it mate ya soon get used to the rod, that was old Billy on blue bike who ya said caught a cod, he is a lovely man I hope I'm still fishing when I'm his age cos he is getting on a bit he is older than he looks lol
Good to see you on the beach at last 👍 The sea looked perfect for bass. Next time try fishing ragworm and you'll be in with a good chance of a bass, flounder or dab. Beach fishing is so much better than the piers. Last Saturday I was just north of where you fished and had bass and founder. 🙂
Great video good bass sea that maybe next time try ragworm chance of a bass mate imax suits there good and warm I have one like toast yes mate the headland you were fishing on good mark the twin steps as well in the winter not sure if you drive but maybe try skinnigrove jetty near whitby way at least the young un loves it
Well done on braving the elements in what looked like testing conditions. It's a good stretch of productive ground along there mate, flounder, bass and codling to lug and rag worm baits generally. A set of chest waders would be good, I've found putting a bait just at the back of the last breaker into deeper water pays dividends. However, where you where at first looked very good for a bass or flounder in the surf. A good watch as always tight lines and keep at it, it fishes well along there in Spring.
My personal favourite time to fish there is 2 hours before high tide nd a hour after casting about 30 yards out don't need to be far out down there I find rag worm works best
@@GillysFishing-2023 all the bass av had down there have been between the end of the prom nd the rocks mostly at the top of the ramp all about 30 yard out on rag
Well done for persevering in that cold south easterly wind, it was blowing quite strong on Saturday. Least you caught a lobster and a ling for your troubles. You'll have to invest in a flotation suits for you and the lad, well worth the money mate. Tight lines better times beckon as spring approaches.
@@GillysFishing-2023 They're the way to go mate, the Fladen Rescue or Sundridge Storm beach Jacket comined with some Vass salopettes are the way to go keep you warm when the weather closes in, great watch as always.
Thank you John it was a hard one to edit surprised I got 13mins out of it 2 weeks now till I can get out again and ilk have my new rod and tripod in my next vid 😁
That's my pal peter who I go fishing with he a good lad, Have ya not thought about getting some proper cod rods like gilly, cos to be honest mate if you ever hook a big cod you are gunna struggle with the little rods n reels mate
Yeah it made time go a bit quicker having someone talk to considering the weather lol and yeah I'm gonna be getting a beach set up soon been holding off but fishmas is finally here 😂
@@GillysFishing-2023 niceone kidda mite see me and Peter on beach then cos we will be targeting the bass on the beaches from now on cos cod season more or less over now
Well done guys good selection of species, and sammy the seal turned up he's the ultimate predator. I'm sure you'll get that codling soon once the peeler crab start to shed their coats, tight lines and good to see the bairns enjoying the fishing
We are really busy at the moment mate with everything that's going off but we will defo come wet a line together when everything is sorted.. May come up when the makies are in mate
Keep plodding on the marina is verfy hit nd miss av fishhed it for years some verry good fish in there av not been out for a verry long time watching your videos has got me thinking about getting out again thight lines
Well done guys perseverance pays off happy days. It's quite productive fishing in the shadow of Wingfield Castle towards the historic quay, some big eels hang around the shadows tight lines
Hi there, Just wondering if the lock gate has been fixed yet as it lost a lot of water, I fished there 2 weeks ago and didn't have a bite due to the lock gate been damaged, By the looks of watching your vid the water seems to be a few feet less along the walls...Good video and keep it up guys...
I didn't know it was damaged but water level has been the same up and down the boats were coming in and out and few times I have been the water level has been different it was over the steps the time before I last went and nice one Kieth 👍
