A bit off topic here. Although a tragic event, this video is an amazing aviation disaster investigation film documenting the British Midland Canadiair 4 Crash in Stockport UK in 1967. There is some incredible footage of Canadair Northstar/Argonaut investigative flights after the disaster, as they try to figure out what brought down one of their other Northstar aircraft, killing 72 of 84 onboard. That would be one packed C-4! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zz94kJRXWqA.htmlsi=pxhBc2gf2bk-5WjI
It’s really sad being a model plane collector and not finding any stores that sell model planes. Furthermore, any time you look on Google or Apple Maps they never direct you to an actual model plane store and instead a hobby store that never sells what you’re looking for.
Loved PWA! I flew on their Boeing 737 aircraft when I went Saskatoon to Calgary to visit my dad. This was in the late 70s to early 80s.Then AC had many 767 and I was hooked to the wide body aircraft.
Hey Henry! So glad to see you back and streaming again. Subbed and definitely looking forward to your future streams. Hope to see you around at YVR this summer!
That’s FRA… the regular security and/or transit security are by far the worst in the whole world! The wait at the passport control at such a so called /modern country is so unacceptable… I avoid FRA or just give myself 5+ hr connecting time as I missed connections in the past…
Connecting in FRA can be stressful but if you set the expectation bar correctly, it doesn’t have to be. My experience recently at FRA back in April had a one night stay built in because I was coming off of a 13 hour flight and had enough flying for one day. When comparing FRA to LHR or CDG when making a connection, I’ll choose FRA every time. There are however better options within Europe to connect. ZRH and MUC are both better than FRA and at the same time part of the LH group of hubs. Avoid MAD, LIS, FCO, ATH to connect especially in summer due to overcrowded conditions.
Frankfurt is a fantastic airport for spotting, with its huge variety of airlines and types including the Lufthansa B747. I recommend the German state TV documentary series about Frankfurt Airport. - it's great! With English subtitles: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DRv73rewtBw.html
The airport is very unfriendly for connections because they put lots of hurdles and great distances to make it extremely stressful and difficult and if you’re not physically fit, it’s going to be impossible and/or dangerous.
Yes, it was deleted because the full version of my video was uploaded by somebody without my permission and I had it removed. The video that you’re now commenting on is my teaser video. The full version is premium content here on RU-vid as well as on the JetFlix TV streaming platform, which I operate.
Travelling this fall to Italy via Frankfurt. Never been to either before. After watching this glad that I gave us over 3 hours transit time. I hate tight connections, especially in places where I don't know the infrastructure.
You are doing the right thing three hours is going to be fine, but I find it strange that airlines will allow people to make non viable short FRA connections in their itineraries. The airport itself can make themselves a lot more friendly for passengers as well. Other airports are not nearly as bad as this.
Doubt I'll get over to Frankfurt but good advice. What is the ding that always dings just after you leave the ground? 6:12 I heard that many times on planes. The view from the bus is great, you get right up close to the planes.
Very cool view! But really Europe, what the hell is up with all of the buses and remote stands at airports? FRA, CDG, really all of them? For a bloc so obsessed with green initiatives, I cannot imagine a bunch of buses running around a portable power units/HVAC is green at all… do better…
I invite flights attendants and pilots to chime in on this matter, but is my understanding that whenever the gear up or geared down is indicated in the flightdeck, that chime sounds and it tells the entire crew that the emergency lights in the cabin are on or off with gear up and down. It also tells the flight attendants when they are landing .. that the landing will be happening very soon.
Very good Aydin .. their on board product is pretty good but if you’re checking baggage through Frankfurt, it’s definitely a risk. The baggage handling at Frankfurt airport is contracted out and the airlines aren’t directly responsible. Certainly the case of Eurowings Discover .. so best if you do not check luggage.
@@JetFlix Thank you so much for letting me know! Yes, EW Discover is identical to Lufthansa's product, and Lufthansa is really good so I hope EW Discover is like that. This review really does help, as I have an idea of what to expect. Thanks again, and I may share some photos with you next week from this upcoming (less than 8 days) trip!
If you collect nodels for 30 or 40 years, you build up a network of contacts across the world and eventually such models show up by word-of-mouth and in collections etc. You can also check eBay. And websites like aircraftdisplaymodels.com
