actually jelly blacks dont sound thocky in your setup. could be your board and keycaps. I have jelly blacks from non mods to modded, its doesn't sound CLACKY and PINGY as that.
Personally think the Zoom has an ugly chunky case. Which has been the same forever. Throwing more "customization" which really are just gimmicky doesn't make me want it more. FYI, all ball catch mechanisms are the same. Just adjust them.
i just want a nice sounding keyboard that has dedicated keys to control media (play-skip, volume. bla bla) but suddenly it is hella hard to find. There are keyboards with screen but not a volume control q______q
Maybr next time if u wanna showcase the sound signature of the different mounts, use less foam maybe? Kinda pointless tbh if the mounts' sounds will be drowned by foam
imho i hate this keyboard... i don't like this childish design. The pcb isn't any better, 1.2 mm with so many flex cuts and some design errors are kinda awkward to me. Also i think that making 1-2 good mounts > than creating 7 mounts. Kinda... meh...
There are a few retailers selling to the US market. Most have still not yet delivered the keyboards and they are priced about $10 - $15 more than what you paid on Taobao for each tier of board.
options 1 and 3 are identical. i actually disliked option 2, which is the legit set lol. it sounded almost like they "muted" the sound. hard disagree with your stance on saying they're worth it tho. at the end of the day, $200 for keycaps is a LOT, and the hobby is already very niche. saying you can just sell the keycaps for the same price or more is a lot easier said than done.
So I’m a little confused about what you did with that silicone dampener. You mentioned that you replaced it with a gasket and kept that same silicone dampener on the bottom of the case?
