@@santo5432 I haven’t done a lot of testing with it, but unfortunately the latest update to OPCOM affects platoon leaders ai handling so units don’t process orders from the platoon leader mod. If I figure out a fix I’ll post a video on it!
Hey Brother, I have been able to use it with anitstasi, however I do recommmend combnining this mod with the all-in-one command menu for ease in creating high command groups.
@@christianserrano8523 not at all. You may have to check your keybinds. I had to change my keybind for the command menu in order for the mod to work. What mods are you using? Is there a possible conflict?
id rate this mod top 5 for singleplayer gameplay, lets you have massive scale battles along with zeus without other people controlling the vehicles and stuff, still has a few bugs like the pathfinding but overall massive improvement to vanilla HC

Hey man. Let's make some videos together to create some really cool content together and gain some serious ground. I have been in the know regarding this project since 2001 and remember how far ahead of it's time it was and thanks to the contract Bohemia secured with the Marine Corp, VBS became an incredible vision as a training platform to give commanders something to do beside shoot at the wrong targets and jerk off all day. It never ceases to amaze me that I have been part of this since 2001 when I was on active duty and discovered Benny BECTI in the early beginning and that is when I could see that the game is totally malleable and anything can be created and the editor has more freedom to create than anything a gamer ever seen up to that point. We used to play a game in the 90s before I went to basic training called Command and Conquer and it was a really cool game to play and had a good soundtrack of industrial music. I found that sound track and made a few videos with that playing in the background while playing BECTI on the OFPS server and that old game that was an aerial point of view, was a strategy game where the commander of each side could do a match where they randomly start somewhere on the map and have to harvest material and build a base to pay for tech advances and more capabilities. A lot like age of empires framework with modern warfare vehicles hmmwv tanks planes etc. It was cool strategy game and animations of little soldiers intermittently knocking out pushups and returning to formation. BECTI is like that and combines OFP -Arma3 for 2 teams that have to vote for a willing commander then random start somewhere on the map fighting resistance in each town for control of assets and money generation. Each player has a sqaud size allowance to use AI for. As the tech level of the equipment increases, personal weapons get better as the light vehicle tech level increases, your choice of wheeled vehicles gets better same with tanks rotary wing radar artillary jamming countermeasures sat cams and each commander and the team is always wanting to get the intel of the others base location. So the progression is fun. I just don't see the server so active anymore and hopefully a reforger version will be ready for all us veterans to see the amazing ways this battlefield and creations are going into the Arma 4 world. you have a lot of momentum and growth for your channel in a really short time it looks like. I guess I better take some notes. Good Job man!

"creating my own scenarios" .. no. if your using opcom that isnt creating your own,your generating garbage repetitive basic shooting galleries. this mod Platoon leader is full of bugs and the script errors pile up. it offers nothing more than vanilla high command. i appreciate you play SP HC,but for love of god,remove the mods and enjoy the vanilla functions and learn to script them to improve,id even offer my experience,iv made better than this mod with a little effort.
I’ve played Arma since Arma 2 and the reason both Arma 2 and 3 are successful is because of the mods that the community creates. If you truly used this mod and the vanilla high command, then you would know that Platoon Leader mod extremely increases the effectiveness of the high command system that Bohemia has poorly implemented into the game. Not that I need to justify my experience, but I’ve made many scenarios in the editor and even before Eden was added to the game. I’ve made my own scripts too. I also work 12-15 hour days and spending hours on a scenario isn’t appealing to me anymore. OPCOM provides quick and easy missions that I can play for 30min-1hr. I’ve unpack the platoon leader PBO and I highly doubt you’d be willing to put in the work and effort that author has. I wish I could appreciate your feedback but it is extremely arrogant and almost seems spiteful.
@@TacticalEDGEGaming isnt spiteful its just to the point. your doing yourself a diservice is what im saying. Arma with eden is literaly a game that can be anything you can imagine. OPCOM limit that. Yeah iv been designing since it was still 2D as well,which makes it more of a point..you now have the most amazing power editor in gaming,you dont use it. But your still willing to take time to post footage. Maybe refelct on it. Oh and vanilla HC... Its,like everything BIS impliments,a foundation that we can easily expand upon. iv added everything that Platoon commander adds,that advanced AI com has,and i have added nearly all features HAL has... without the need for code not updated for 5 years as is Platoon leader. BIS always update things for example group event handlers were changed recently...will your mod account for it? ofcourse not. but you can if you create things yourself. Its just bluntly put,plain good advice im giving.
I mean neither of y'all are wrong... At the end of the day if you want to learn to script and learn the development side of things I mean the world is in desperate need of artistic and creative talent on one end but at the end of the day I mean if someone wants to enjoy the video game by whatever means they feel like there's a shouldn't be anything wrong with it. It's taking the entire process for somebody that doesn't plan on being a lifer on the development side of things maybe they just want to make a quick up for their friends or just themselves after work and not have to put too much thought into it. Maybe I like to go get a nice steak but I don't feel like taking the time for the preparations and the supplies and I just don't feel like cooking after work but I still want to eat a nice steak. Same idea.
wow the mods are hideous! cant even model holding binocs correcctly. dont know why ppl feel the need to use modded factions,or a modded buggy HC. Vanilla works fine and for whatever u feel it lacks u can script in with a little learning.
@@TacticalEDGEGaming I recommend you practice playing WEGO/Turn-based, which is how the original version of Combat Mission was designed. Also, refrain from toggling the trees, leaving them on Full not only looks more authentic, it also gives you a better appreciation of what landscape your men are fighting through.
@@wartsnall7332 Thank you for the input, but I like real time too much. Having fought through many forests and heavy foliage myself, I have full appreciation for what they do! Unfortunately, form a top down view having the trees toggled on constantly become an hindrance and provide little to no realism/immersive value, in my opinion of course :)
You mentioned using opcom to generate the mission. I've used it but have not been able to save it correctly, so if I leave in the middle, my settings and mission are lost. Would you consider a video to show how you made the mission and also set up the platoon command?
I agree, but with the looming threat of their AA I didn't feel comfortable calling in the spitfires. I'm assuming that's what you're referring to. With that said, in hindsight I certainly wish I took the risk and called them in on the entrenched position.
How do you get this mod to work? I have loaded the mod but when I try to use the menus nothing works, I can't even select my own forces? theres no Icons over my men either?
I do use quite a number of mods, but I tried with just vanilla game and it still didn't work. My squads and vehicles didn't even have the clickable icons and none of the menus work. @@TacticalEDGEGaming
@@JustKaga If you're utilizing the mod showcased in the video, you only need the high command module for subordinate and commander. Both modules can be found under the "Other" tab in the module section. Synchronize the Commander module to the subordinate and the player unit. Then synchronize the subordinate module to the group leaders of all your desired subordinate units. Hope this helps!
