Union Iron Worker from the east coast. I try to get good content but this varies from job to job so if there is weeks or months in between videos i sincerely apologize. If you want to see more videos please support the channel by subscribing, Thanks!
Those damn deckers, that's all they will do all their career. Go get your welding papers, go hang some iron pull up bolts, be a journeyman ironworker not just a Decker
Royal Deckers use a claw hammer and a driver. Using that stupid crescent wrench Spud Ironworkers through those things off the building dude. Use a driver, a liper, and a claw hammer
Interesting. It looks like those are functionally the same as the pins which seized on the Forth Road Bridge in Scotland, fracturing the truss end links and almost causing a disaster. It's a very similar suspension bridge built in the 1960s. They rebuilt the truss ends to be supported on a bearing pad (attached to the tower) below the truss, so that it's fail safe.
The soles are made to grip the steel when they are walking up the I beams. Just like roofers wear cougar paws. The soles are super soft and grip the shingles so they can walk on stepper roofs.
What is the big idea with the awful sound on this video? Were you trying to make it absolutely terrible? Do you have a version without added musical noise?
Very cool, wouldn't mind some narration or text on what you were doing or why. Orange X's on the rivets and they were still there etc. (the other steps) etc. Something you could never get from TV.
