Sounds American channel is created by people who are passionate about American English pronunciation, phonetics, phonic rules, and all things related to American accents.
Whom are we kidding? We love teaching and we're doing it for fun!

Will you start speaking like an American if you watch all our videos several times? Well, we don't know that. What we do know is that your accent will improve. Trust us, we helped hundreds of people all around the globe.

Fellow teachers! We'll be happy if you use Sounds American videos to supplement your own materials. Kind of an official note: we approve free non-commercial distribution of our videos, including embedding, link sharing, and downloading, except for re-uploading.
Thank you and enjoy the show.

P.S. We use only organic sound in our videos. So yes, at least one of us speaks like that in real life. Maybe just a little faster.

Sir, I have a huge problem of these aspirated sounds such as 't', 'k', 'p.'. Problem is end of the word should I aspirated these sounds. I am giving some examples like- perfect, rest, best, dust. (I know you aspirated this word). But in this words you didn't aspirated - polite, adult, absent etc. so when should I aspirated when shouldn't aspirated. Same problem I am facing of k sound- basic, break, cake, book, thank, pink in this word s you was aspirated but back, bake, black, etc in this words you didn't aspirated. I don't have problem about p sound. But this both sound made me confused. Please help me in this case 🥲.

Thanks for your videos! I have a question about some of the words where the W is not pronounced, like power, towel, awful, and coward. I definitely hear the W sound in these words, but is it considered part of the previous vowel instead of the consonant?

why the words like: basketball, baby have b second unstressed but still be aspirated, but update have p unstressed and not aspired. My question is whether unstressed consonants will be aspirated all times

Can I use the sound of the video to create a mp3 file for phonics learning for korean students? We have mp3 files for vowel sounds but not the ones that I want. For example, we have mp3 files for note, o, te, but not 'ote'. I tried some of A.I tts sites but they couldn't recognize the pronunciation symbols. I need 'ane, ape, ake, ai, ay, oa, ope, ose, ote, ie, y, ine, ite, ike, ee, ea, ue, ui, une, ube, ute". It's for commercial use.
