Hello doctor, so normally we can choose to work as administrator of a dental clinic or an assistant based on where you live in the country. Some areas allow working as an assistant without a full license as well.
Thank you for this amazing video Doc,.. I have a doubt, what is the eligibility criteria other than passing AFK and ACJ to get line of credit from CIBC, if I only planning to take it for NDECC..? Thank you
Thank you doctor. So in order to just use this Line of Credit for NDECC, we must have the following things: 1.) registration proof for NDECC exam 2.) AFK and ACJ pass results 3.) PR status 4.) Bank account in CIBC
Hello, so that depends on your current residential status in Canada. If you are planning a Student Visa journey then I would recommend against the private college hygiene programs. However, if you are a PR and wanting to become a hygienist, then Oxford, Toronto Auxiliary and such other colleges are good options.
@@TheToothFactory yes I do have a PR. George brown offers adv.diploma but the private colleges offer diploma. So will that be an issue in getting jobs. Thanks
Good to hear and in this case, it does not make a difference. As ling as you have a registered license for Dental Hygiene, the employers are willing to train new staff. So your platform for achieving hygiene does not matter as much as actually being a good hygienist does. I used to work in a clinic where hygiene staff was a batch from The Canadian Academy of Dental Health (Mississauga campus) which does not offer an advanced diploma.
Hello doctor i have question So my question is after bds from india student visa is better option or not can you please tell me And if i take student visa then which diploma or degree would be a good option
Hello doctor sure we can guide you on the matter. So in 2024, it is not advisable to take up the student visa route to come and settle in Canada. Rather, it is advisable to attain a PR and then come to Canada. The promising career that the student visa route used to give is no longer the case.

Hi i have done my diploma in dental hygiene of 2 years. Nd i have done my ielts , i got 7 band.......now if i go to canada....will i hv to study further or ill get job after giving the exam there??? Plz reply
Hello! Yes so if you are an internationally graduated Dental Hygienist (such as yourself with the 2 year diploma), you can apply for the direct licensing process with the dental hygiene board in Canada and take the exams to get the license for Dental Hygiene in Canada and begin practicing. This route voids you of studying the whole dental hygiene diploma course all over again.

@@TheToothFactory hello, i asked not bc it was mentioned in the video, rather a question occurred to me😅 do you have a video for diagnosis for pulp/periapical/endo perio lesion/periodontitis - and how to differentiate in a case study? Thank you 🙏🏼 it was informative video ☺️
ahh, understood, apologies for the confusion. The endo perio lesions are a deep topic and we will be creating an individual video for the entire topic itself soon. Thank you so very much for your kindness and we shall continue to serve as well as can and we have recently resumed uploads so we will do our best to publish as many lectures as possible. Overall in the diagnosis of endo perio lesions- it is important to identify an etiology which begins as caries and follows through to pulpal necrosis and then periapical infection leading to infection passing through the path of least resistance. That generally is the sulcus. Therefore, there will bea radiolucency that leads from the apex to at least one side of the tooth to the gingival sulcus. "J shaped". Mobility and discomfort is generally present as well as non-vitality of the tooth diagnosed. In treatment, we do see endo (RCT) treatment first followed by 4-6 weeks of healing and then crown placement with scaling and root planing once the lesion has resolved periapically as well. We hope this summary kick starts a chain of thoughts for endo perio and we will soon place some lectures out regarding endo as well.
Hello, you would need to pass Hygiene Boards before you can get a license snd practice. Check out this link for more information: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Mbd3pJR9EU.htmlsi=Qr8JfDXe62sdC9ou
Hello,I did MBA FINANCE from India ,,Now i m PR in Canada.can i become DENTAL ASSISTANT here in Canada without any medical background or what course or exam should i take ..I m from.Ontario,Canada.thank u so much.
Hello, so normally we want to be able to offer the Dental Boards a prior qualification for a direct licensing however, in your case, you would need to approach a 8 month to 1 year long dental assistant certificate course. Each college, depending on where you live in Canada, will ask for some prerequisites such as biology course taken in your high school. If for example, you do not have that requirement already in your database, then they will offer an upgrading course for that particular requirement. Once that is completed, you can successfully qualify to apply for a dental assistant course and one year later you would be practicing as one.
Hello doctor we are glad it was useful and we shall continue to serve. Yes we did have a video on that topic however, due to certain updates offered by AAE (American Association of Endodontists) we had to remove it snd update our videos. It is currently work in progress and at the copyrighting desk. We shall update soon 😊
Until then if you have any doubts or need a lesson or revision, clarifications then you can opt for our services that we recently launched. I personally will teach all topics you need. Here is the link for more details. Please do consider whichever service is useful to you: www.thetoothfactory.ca/dental-doubts-sessions
Hello sir, Very informative video and also a really good start for a dental journey here in canada.. I had query.. I am on a student visa here and can i apply for this exam being a student here amd can get a part time jobs here? Thnks in advance
Hello doctor, yes you absolutely can approach this exam as a student visa holder. And I would actually recommend you to do so. This way you will be employed as an assistant as well which will eventually help you in your final dental journey as well.
Hello doctor, getting into the masters in public health is a very good field however, I am not sure how you would pursue MPH in dentistry. To study anything in dentistry, especially masters, we need a DDS from an accredited institution.
Hello sir, i am in last semester of my health care administration and service management course in Conestoga college and currently i am confused about my future job in field like how should i apply other than clinic or hospitals what are other options for me … thank you in advance for your valuable reply
As per administration in health care, clinics and hospitals are our go to options doctor. Indeed, Job Bank and LinkedIn are really good portals to begin your research for jobs.
Hello, you are eligible for approaching the NDAEB for licensing exams. There is an equivalency process, followed by a written exam and then a clinical exam. Once done, within 4-6 weeks they will mail you a registered license for you to practice as a Dental Assistant in Canada.
For NDAEB eligibilty assessment, we require to send copies of academic transcripts notarized in canada. So how can we apply from outside canada for NDAEB.?
So in the past such instances have been managed by emailing NDAEB and asking them to see what can be done. Normally what people have done is either they have NDEB equivalency to use or they would have someone in Canada that they know that would do the notary for them.
That is a very generous compliment doctor, we shall continue our services starting May 2024 which is in 3 weeks. We resume our lectures again soon! We thank you for watching and hopefully we can continue to serve you better.
Hello doc, unfortunately we are not a large volume company therefore it would only begin in May and following weeks and months we would upload lectures. We can do our best to help you clarify doubts and so on if you wish over zoom calls as well. Apologies for the delay, it is just a small team we have. Thank you for being a part of our family!
Thank you so much for your motivation and kind words, we are delighted to announce that starting 10th of May, we are scheduled and able to release lecture series one after another and we are thrilled to resume on RU-vid to teach. Stay tuned for more lectures like this one! Thank you for your support!
Hello doctor thank you so much for your blessings as it is what keeps us afloat! We are absolutely delighted to let you know that we are now able to resume teaching with these wonderful lectures starting mid may! Stay tuned for them and keep your blessings and prayers for us😃
Hi doc. Thank you very much for this informative video. I am an MD here in the Philippines. Pre med is BS Biology. Will I be eligible for a masters in MPH or MHA? Which would you recommend is better suited for me with my hopes to have a PR and job in canada afterwards? Thank you in advance.
Hello doctor, yes absolutely it is a strong contender for your profile and eventually you will want to consider medicine for your future in Canada as well.
Doctor i have 2 questions 1- Can i be registered DA or dentist as i finished 5years BDS course but i haven’t done 1 year internship?. 2-I only have the original certificates so can i make a copy and authenticate it from a lawyer in canada to be sent to WES and that would be accepted or i should make true copies and later authenticate from a lawyer ?
Hello doctor, I shall address each point: 1.) you can use your dental background credential to approach both RDA through NDAEB and a dental license through the NDEB process. However, one of the requirements is called “internship completion certificate”. I am not sure if your university provided that considering you have not done the 1 year Internship. 2.) WES requires three things from us and none of them needs a lawyer’s help. A degree and internship certificate can be uploaded as a photocopy whereas the transcript must be sent to WES directly by your university either electronically or via courier. This link below will help you understand that process better. applications.wes.org/required-documents
Hello Dr.shah I checked the NDEB website >equivalency process>Required documents per country section and it’s written there internship is not required, but in the application guide it’s says internship is required so which information is correct ? And as im in canada now is it possible to do the internship there ? Thank you for your help.
And it’s mentioned in WES website according to the information i provided like country , college and degree that all they need from me is Marksheets and degree certificate eg(Bachelor degree)which i have
Hello doctor, there is a book which has all needed theory and each chapter has questions at the end to help you prepare. I can use your email ID to add you to the google drive folder for the resources. Please do provide us with your email ID. Thank you!
Is it mandatory to take the full amount they offer Like for example for the afk I only need around 6k and pay its interest can I get it or I have to take the entire 25$ and pay its interest?
No no it is not mandatory to take the entire amount doctor. It is a link of credit and you can borrow as much as you want unlike a loan where you have to borrow everything given.
Sir I want to study dental assisting program in Canada can you plz kindly suggest me good and affordable colleges and also if any scholarships available for this?
So doctor, if you decide to come to Canada on study permit. I strongly believe that assisting course is not the best option as your goal with study permit journey is PR as well. And unfortunately, dental assisting is a weak course that may not be able to support your PR application alone.
So basically this survey will explain to the NDAEB that our dental schools back home taught us all that is needed for completing their license exams all clinical exercises basically. Also that survey is found and is a part of the course work report as well.
Hello doctor, there is a course under construction for our company still however, there are several companies in Canada that currently offer really good courses for the exams such as JADE classes and PrepDoctor classes.
Hello! I'm a dental student from India and I have got pr in canada. Can I work as a dental hygienist after completing the license exam? Please do reply
Hello doctor, a BDS graduate cannot opt for a direct licence process for hygiene. It must be hygiene to hygiene not BDS to hygiene. In Canada that path is very restricted.
Hello doctor! If I'm applying for a visit visa should I mention that I'm going to appear for ndaeb? Or should I not? I mean can it help me in getting my visit visa?
Hello doctor, I would not mention it as it takes away from the purpose of the “visitor” visa. They may even reject it. So keep it as if you are just visiting.
Thank you for an amazing lecture. It is worth to note that only two COX-2 inhibitors are still available in North American markets: Celecoxib ( Celebrex) and Meloxicam. More are available in European Markets
Hlo sir, i have completed my bds degree in India and now i am planning to migrate to canada through express entry program. Could you please tell me the procedures that i have to do for getting a dental hygienist job option in canada
Hello doctor, firstly congratulations on completing the BDS process! And we applaud your efforts in coming to Canada through express entry. Dental hygiene as a PR is easier to get admission into as well. Once you are in Canada, you would have to apply to a dental hygiene diploma program doctor. This way you will be enrolled into a college and once completed you can practice as a hygienist.
