Best score of the series! Williams during this period was a beast, Empire Strikes Back and Temple of Doom tempos and runs are monstrous, in a good way.
I mean, it basically is at least from a technical perspective. He has one slight crack in the last F of the first phrase, but c'mon man, where are your standards getting set?
Incredibale combination of bands including G.U.S. Footwear band of which my dad was cornet player. Lovely rare footage of the percussion section in action. Many thanks for this.❤
yes it is. you really need to focus on the tongue arch being in the right shape to speed up the air enough while also not being so pinched that it forces you to use the "E" vowel instead of the "ah' or "oh" vowel
@@trainmastertmh4876 I have always thought of vowels as directly caused by tongue position, how would you say they are non-dependent? (genuinely wanting to be able to think of this differently)
There are a few Brass band performances that have stuck in my mind over the years. 1) YBS - Concerto Grosso 2) YBS - Music of the Spheres 3) Black Dyke - Triumph of Time 4) Brighouse & Rastrick - Paganini Variations (Yorkshire Area) 5) Brighouse & Rastrick - Breath of Souls 6) ISB - Fire in the Blood (world premiere) 7) Desford - Seascapes (winning performance Nationals) 8) Cory - Brussels Requiem 9) Valaisia - Fraternity (British Open winning performance) 10! Brass Band Treize Etoiles - Sand & Stars & This performance from Desford Whoever was sat in the Audience at this concert heard something extra special when they played this. Heard Fodens last weekend at the NW areas 24 and it was good but nowhere near this electrifying performance
I worked with Sandy he is so humble a true good human. he never once bragged about his Immense talent.. I found this after searching on my own one strange Internet evening. I'm so glad I did find it. just beautiful😍
Sitting here listening with my headphones on - it is the most full on playing I have ever heard. The outrageous bass pedal from Deano at bar 254 made me laugh out loud.
In my humble opinion David Daws is the finest cornet soloist the Salvation Army has ever had… I know thats going out on a limb, but I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that. His artistry is beyond compare…. His tone is superb, his technique is second to none, and I would say he could easily hold his own with the top cornet soloists throughout the world…YES…HE’S THAT GOOD !!!
