well well well....looks like we have a nice little treat on our hands here. Few treats as good as 80's Dyke playing something substantial. Hear Derek Jackson on that massive chord at the end...does his little thing where he hangs over at the end so the massive B flat tuba sound echos through the hall....makes for a nice special effect. I always listen for Derek Jackson the most.
Hi . Not just Jacko , but there are legends galore on this video ! Sadly quite a few no longer with us , but I did see Poggy ( sorry about the nick name terms ) early July 2022 and he is still playing now into his 80's .
@@Mark64W You bet, legends galore! All those guys in the band were superstars to me growing up. Old Johnny Slinger, John Clough, Peter Christian, David King, ole Sandy...it goes on and on and on.
I wish someone had gotten hold of FB when he was young and gotten him to straighten out his sound. Never was a fan of his uncontrolled nanny goat vibrato which spoilt many otherwise great Dyke recordings for me.
