You said you would have to "live here to fully experience everything" i was born in London 71 years ago and i still havent seen all there is to see. Great video, and i'm really pleased you liked London, please come back and see us again sometime.
Can honestly say that I am not surprised you didn't like the tea. Just by the colour alone, it looks as though you waved the teabag over the water. Tea should be 'seeped' for a few minutes, so the flavour is drawn out. Also, you probably had an Earl Grey breakfast tea and not a proper cuppa. Maybe next time. Just a word of warning, it is not a good idea to shout "Manchester United" in a southern city that has several large football teams of its own. Football supporters are very serious about their club. I am glad you enjoyed your visit to our capital city. Maybe on your next trip you can visit Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, York. Wonderful northern cities with amazing history, good food, great beer and fabulous people. It will also be less expensive. As a tourist, you can purchase a rail card that saves you a lot of money off your rail fare. You can then take in some of Scotland and Wales, too! See you both soon ❤️🏴🇬🇧
Thanks for the tip about the tea. I definitely think we didn’t let it seeped long enough! We would love to visit all of those cities and hope to go back soon. We do have a trip planned for next year to Scotland and are super excited for that! Thank you for watching and your response 🙌
I appreciate the love, but you got so much wrong - Firtsly, n'o one should wish to stay 'North side of the Thames, in zone 1... Let's compare: If you stay in NYC - you choose Brooklyn for the VIEW of Manhatten, and the cheaper prices.. OR... you stay mid town, to be central and walk to 'most places'. London is laid out in a different manner and 3x bigger than NYC.. however.. you need to advise people to stay in Kensington, Chelsea, Bayswater, Notting Hill, Islington, South Hampstead..and so on... 10 minutes anywhere by tube, but without noise and tourist BS!!!!!
It doesn't look like you let the tea brew as it came out looking like hot water. The tea needs to steep a bit and milk needs adding. If you're British you know how to get the timing right to get the right cup of tea. Maybe you won't like tea anyway but you it looked like you just had insipid hot water. Glad you seemed to like the food though.
@@joseph.almendarez It is tricky to get the strength right with those small teapots. I usually speed up the brewing process by swooshing the teabag around with a spoon. Your wife's/girlfriend's English accent is great :)
@@joseph.almendarez to be fair it’s really well done up at Warner Bros Harry Potter world in Leavesden but a journey for anyone staying in Central London
@@joseph.almendarez I Eat but I don't feel the need to show people stuffing my Mouth every five Minutes, virtually the whole video was watching you two shovelling Food in your mouth, try to be a bit more imaginative next time and actually show the City instead of your Mouths full of Food. 😀👍
@@tradeladder146 well I’m glad you’re not the one making the videos. People enjoy a lot of different things and a lot of people actually do travel for food nowadays it’s called food tourism so to each there own 😂
Ive had mine since june 2022 and come to think of it, i have only taken less than 70 pix with it. Its been as useful as your mic with such lo volume. Maybe you should have used the mic on the camera instead for louder sound.
Honestly German food is really tasty even though a lot of people don’t like it. I will say German food is HEAVY. Lots of heavy meats and breaded dishes. We didn’t have enough traditional UK food for me to give a true comparison but if cooked right German food can be very delicious. I will have to make more videos of food we eat here in Germany!
@@joseph.almendarez I realised that you probably didn't try much traditional British cooking and instead absorbed the variety of other food available along your trip. Which is the proper way to experience London I'd love to see a review f your favourite German foods or recipes if you make one
LOL, that accent! Only it wouldn't be Manu, it would be "Chell-see" or any London club. But overall, pretty good! One thing - London doesn't have a "downtown" as American cities do. Or even in a Manhattan sense. It's West End ("town") or The City or Islington but never "downtown". Good vid - I lived there for 45 years, only leaving (retiring) a couple of years ago. Still love it, but Bath is a great little substitute.
Yeah she unfortunately has only ever heard of Manu 😂 she doesn’t know anything about football but thanks for that breakdown a lot of londoners were getting mad I said downtown 😂
I enjoyed your vlog! I've been watching a lot of videos in preparation for my first trip to London later this year, and I have to say you both were entertaining. I love the honest feedback on what you were eating too. I'm a new subscriber, and I have a feeling you two will grow the channel a lot based on your personalities!
Harry Potter ?? That’s embarrassing! it’s got nothing to do with London , it’s like saying what’s the best thing about America - Disney land. No real traveller would say Harry potter. Another US couple with an IQ of under 30 …. combined. BTW you don’t have children but you went to a theme park about Harry potter ….. we have a word for grown ups doing children’s things in London
Wow you’re rude they are having fun!!! I’m in my 40s I’d go with my daughter in her 20s to Harry Potter tour if I could ,I know loads of adults who go! It doesn’t matter what age you are! I’d love to go to America and deffo go to Universal Studios! Stop being a miserable sod!
'We've been here about five days and we haven't even scratched the surface'... guys, my first visit to London was when I was 14. I am now 54, have visited London at least twice a year since (I live in the North of England) and I still feel like there's so much I haven't gotten around to yet! Loved the video, I'll be sure to check out some more!
We definitely will on our next trip to London and yes thanks for clarifying we kept passing by the London bridge but got confused which one it was when filming that clip 😂
Never seen Harry Potter myself, but I'm from Edinburgh where it was written, and many locations were based on actual places here. Next time you visit, try visiting outside London, Scotland, wales, the North of England all have something to offer, and usually much cheaper than London.
For more Harry Potter sights you need to travel out of London. Go to Gloucester Cathedral, Oxford University, Edinburgh, where JK Rowling wrote the book, and take the Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig. There you will ride over the famous Glenfinnan viaduct famous from the films. Also Kings Cross station in London has a platform 9¾ where you can take great photos trying to push a luggage trolley through the wall.
I’ve got a couple of tips for you 😉 1) let the tea brew. You poured water out of the pot at the afternoon tea. 2) please don’t try our accent unless asked. It really hurts our ears 😂 3) The Thames is pronounced Tems.
Yes for the most part every country we’ve been to in Europe people do speak English and are kind in helping you but of course some people just don’t and aren’t very kind but that’s anywhere you go!
16:50. The bridge there is Southwark Bridge not London Bridge. However London Bridge is actually just visible in the shot though. The bridge behind Southwark Bridge is Cannon St railway bridge and behind that in the distance you can just see a bit of London Bridge. Visitors frequently get confused about which one is London Bridge so you're not the first and won't be the last 🙂
You should also try adding grated cheese on top of the beans on toast. Also worth trying grated cheese on toast under a grill (broiler) and then add some Branston pickle or Worcester sauce on top of the melted cheese side. British comfort food. You can probably get the British Heinz beans and Branston pickle online anywhere in the world. I don’t like tea either and I’m British!
That sounds really good! And I think I’ve seen Heinz beans at the markets here in Germany! I wish I could like tea due to all the health benefits but just can’t do it. Thanks for watching!
Glad you enjoyed your trip to London, but I must say that the 'Full English Breakfast' you had looked disgusting and overcooked (imo). As a Londoner, and having lived in London for over 26 years, I couldn't help but wonder what 'Downtown' London is? Maybe another Londoner could help me out. Looking forward to your next video.
Not surprised you didn’t like the mushroom risotto. Most truffle oil made with a synthetic flavour compound with barely any actual truffle in it - and tastes grim. Save your truffle eatng to a trip to Italy where your waiter will grate some shavings from a real truffle onto your pasta - tastes amazing!
Last time I was in Borough Market it was still a wholesale vegetable market and I was delivering 11 tons of potatoes, all in 56lb bags hand loaded and unloaded on/off the flatbed lorry. Collected at 3am that wet cold morning from a farm in Cambridgeshire.
It was decent. I definitely thought it would be better coming from American football games in the states I thought the crowd would be much better here.
@@joseph.almendarez usually in Germany they are probably a one off get games like that sometimes subscribe to the channel happened to come across your last video.
York is better but if you love Harry Potter you will like York the history is unbelievable there is a specially licensed shop called He Who Shall not be named try to visit York you won’t regret it 👍😊
As a Brit I had a business trip to Virginia, Michigan and Ontario. None of those accents are difficult, but when I found 'Are You Being Served?' on a PBS channel, it was like instant relaxation. And that's not a programme I'm happy to admit watching.
You need to go to Greenwich and find Goddard's Pie and Mash for a real traditional London meal, get it with the parsley liquor, and use the chilli vinegar, I normally get a double double, which is two pies with double mash, if your on Bankside it doesn't take long to get to Greenwich, your in London why mention Man United, there are loads of top London clubs
