Beast Runners 跑山獸 - trail running, mountains, life,... That foreigner man on videos is Petr Novotny from Czech Republic. He married Eva Lobo, she is Taiwanese aborigines and they have two girls Enya and Mia and two dogs. Beast Runners 跑山獸 is our company and we organize trail running events in Taiwan, well known Formosa Trail. We "somehow" saved several lives of lost hikers in Taiwan mountains. Since 2020 we join search for missing more intensively, unfortunately there were not always many happy endings, some victims still missing. Taiwan is beautiful but tough. Rememer this: 「Your Safety Is Your Responsibility!」 「您的安全是您的責任！」
I'm always surprised how intense those trails are, that they literally require rope to climb safely, poor guy, hopefully getting the body back brings some kind of closure.
I learn about the case. It was all complicated by the earthquake, many landslides in the area. The search are always complicated even for Taiwanese, usually the family need take lot of action. Eg. case in Japan where they search by them self for missing mother, but after intensive and expensive search there were even not more clues
@@BeastRunners It's so sad that his family can only gather enough money to come to Taiwan for 5 days in June and then return empty handed. When you search up his name his university pages are still all up, his books are still selling on amazon like he is still alive. It's just a horrible situation where the family is powerless and the police have no resources to care. Taroko area is also definitely too dangerous to scale for mountaineers like you. Oh man.. no one could do anything. I just feel for the family, Berlin prof may never return home.

thank you. We arleady can see many hikers using offline maps and learn that it is not possible go out of mountains in random direction (ends in creeks). Less people got lost badly after we start published about the cases
